The restart control device is characterized in being provided with: a restart condition determination unit that determines whether a restart condition for restarting the internal combustion engine has been satisfied while the vehicle is coasting; a push-starting unit that performs push starting; a starting unit that performs starting using the electric motor; and a double starting unit that causes one of the push-starting unit and the starting unit to start the internal combustion engine if it is determined that the restart condition has been satisfied, and, if the internal combustion engine is not started, causes the other of the push-starting unit and the starting unit to start the internal combustion engine.

Through the vehicle control method, the setting efficiency of the engine automatic starting and stopping function can be improved.

The present invention relates to a method for restarting an engine when start/stop coasting (SSC) is released and a device thereof. The method for restarting an engine when SSC is released according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: (S100) a step in which a driving vehicle achieves an SSC releasing condition after entering the SSC; (S200) a step of determining emergency starting necessity of the vehicle; (S300) a first starting step of operating a starter motor (430) and gearing a clutch (420) when the emergency starting of the vehicle is necessary; and (S400) a second starting step of gearing the clutch (420) without the operation of the motor (430) when the emergency starting of the vehicle is not necessary. According to the present invention, a shock caused by the gearing of the clutch when the SSC is released and the vehicle is restarted can be relieved and durability of a related component such as the clutch or the likes can be improved.
