Atom interferometry
Alain Miffre,Marion Jacquey,Matthias Büchner,G. Trénec,Jacques Vigué +4 more
- 05 May 2006
TL;DR: A brief overview of atom interferometry can be found in this article, where the authors review the techniques used for a coherent manipulation of atomic waves and the main applications of atomic interferometers.

Cold collisions of ground- and excited-state alkali-metal atoms.
Paul S. Julienne,Jacques Vigué +1 more
TL;DR: This paper examines two collisional mechanisms by which cold alkali-metal atoms can escape from a neutral-atom trap, due to collison of excited- and ground-state atoms, and concludes that the earlier semiclassical analysis by Dashevskaya of the fine-structure-changing mechanisms for the various alkaline-metal species is qualitatively correct.

Natural hyperfine and magnetic predissociation of the I2 B state I. — Theory
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the gyroscopic, hyperfine and magnetic predissociation phenomenon of molecular iodine and calculated the rate of very weak predissociations and interference effects between them.
Direct evidence of the natural predissociation of the I2 B state through systematic measurements of lifetimes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the J′ (J′+1) dependence of the inverse of the lifetime due to a gyroscopic predissociation, which is clearly demonstrated.
