Characterization of Neurophysiological and Behavioral Changes, MRI Brain Volumetry and 1H MRS in zQ175 Knock-In Mouse Model of Huntington's Disease
Taneli Heikkinen,Kimmo Lehtimäki,Nina Vartiainen,Jukka Puoliväli,Susan J. Hendricks,Jacob R. Glaser,Amyaouch Bradaia,Kristian Wadel,Chrystelle Touller,Outi Kontkanen,Juha Yrjänheikki,Bruno Buisson,David Howland,Vahri Beaumont,Ignacio Munoz-Sanjuan,Larry Park +15 more
TL;DR: The zQ175 KI model has robust behavioral, electrophysiological, and histopathological features that may be valuable in both furthering the understanding of HD-like pathophyisology and the evaluation of potential therapeutic strategies to slow the progression of disease.
Automatic navigation system for the mouse brain.
Susan Tappan,Brian S. Eastwood,Nathan O'Connor,Quanxin Wang,Lydia Ng,David Feng,Bryan M. Hooks,Charles R. Gerfen,Patrick R. Hof,Christoph Schmitz,Jacob R. Glaser +10 more
TL;DR: This novel navigation system provides a highly efficient way for registering a digital image of an experimental mouse brain section with the 3D digital mouse brain atlas in a minute and accurate delineation of the image in real‐time.

Altered Spatial Arrangement of Layer V Pyramidal Cells in the Mouse Brain following Prenatal Low-dose X-Irradiation. A Stereological Study using a Novel Three-dimensional Analysis Method to Estimate the Nearest Neighbor Distance Distributions of Cells in Thick Sections
Christoph Schmitz,Norman Grolms,Patrick R. Hof,Robert Boehringer,Jacob R. Glaser,Hubert Korr +5 more
TL;DR: It is found that, in comparison to controls, prenatal X-irradiation had no effect on the total neuron number, but did cause a reduction in the mean volume of layer V by 26.5% and a more dispersed spatial arrangement of these neurons.

Whole mouse brain reconstruction and registration to a reference atlas with standard histochemical processing of coronal sections
Brian S. Eastwood,Bryan M. Hooks,Ronald F. Paletzki,Nathan O'Connor,Jacob R. Glaser,Charles R. Gerfen +5 more
TL;DR: A process is described to image mouse brain sections labeled with standard histochemical techniques, reconstruct those images into a whole brain image volume and register those images to the Allen Mouse Brain Common Coordinate Framework.

Movable objective lens assembly for an optical microscope and optical microscopes having such an assembly
Jacob R. Glaser,Christoph Schmitz,Jeff H. Sprenger +2 more
- 16 Oct 2009
TL;DR: A movable objective lens assembly that includes an infinity-corrected objective lens providing the microscope with an optical field of view is described in this paper, which allows the imaging of a specimen under investigation over an area of the specimen much larger than the view of the objective lens without moving the microscope and/or a specimen stage relative to one another.
