TL;DR: This article investigated the reader's perspective by examining how writing features influence recruiters' assessments of resumes and found that technical work experi ence is important but not sufficient: if the resumes of technically well- qualified applicants contained grammatical errors, recruiters rated these resumes lower than resumes listing less experience but containing more accu rate writing.

Contemporary career services: Theory defines practice
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide an introduction to the forces that have thus jar shaped the environment of college and university career centers in the 1990s, and outline a career development paradigm based on extant career development theory and specify the individual programs and services that such a paradigm suggests for the contemporary career center.
