FE-simulation of crack paths in the real microstructure of an Al(6061)/SiC composite
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used finite element methods to simulate ductile failure in Al(6061)/SiC. In contrast to continuum damage mechanics, the emphasis is on the influence of the local microstructure (phase arrangement), and on the course of the crack through the phase landscape.

Mehrphasige Finite Elemente in der Verformungs- und Versagensanalyse grob mehrphasiger Werkstoffe
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a simulation of elastoplastischen Verformungsverhaltens and von Versagensprozessen in a mehrphasigen materialien.
