Of the genus Lebertia Neuman, 1880 (Acari, Hydrachnidiae, Lebertiidae), three subgenera, Septlebertia, Mixolebertia and Eolebertia, and the species Lebertia (Septlebertia) convergella Tuzovskij, 1990 are recorded for the first time from China. Four species new to science are described and illustrated: Lebertia (Mixolebertia) xuanensis sp. nov., Lebertia (s. str.) borealis sp. nov., Lebertia (s. str.) maolanensis sp. nov., and Lebertia (Eolebertia) exceedia sp. nov. A key is provided to the known Chinese species of the genus Lebertia.

The present paper reports a newly recorded subgenus,Pseudolebertia Thor,1897 of genus Lebertia,with the newly recorded species,Lebertia(Pseudolebertia) abseta Guo,Jin et Asadi,2006 from China.The specimens studied are deposited in the Institute of Entomology,Guizhou University.

CD38 and B-cell maturation antigens (BCMAs) are prevalently expressed on neoplastic plasma cells in multiple myeloma (MM), making them ideal therapeutic targets. Anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies, such as approved daratumumab and isatuximab, are currently the milestone in MM treatment because they induce plasma cell apoptosis and kill through several mechanisms, including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity or phagocytosis. BCMA is considered an excellent target in MM, and three different therapeutic strategies are either already available in clinical practice or under investigation: antibody–drug conjugates, such as belantamab-mafodotin; bispecific T cell engagers; and chimeric antigen receptor-modified T cell therapies. Despite the impressive clinical efficacy of these new strategies in the treatment of newly diagnosed or multi-refractory MM patients, several mechanisms of resistance have already been described, including antigen downregulation, the impairment of antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity and phagocytosis, T- and natural killer cell senescence, and exhaustion. In this review, we summarize the current knowledge on the mechanisms of action and resistance of anti-CD38 and anti-BCMA agents and their clinical efficacy and safety.

A new species Lebertia extendia n. sp. is described and illustrated and Lebertia (Pilolebertia) inaequalis Koch, 1837 is reported for the first time from China. The new species can be distinguished from other species by the mediodistal seta inserted close to the ventrodistal seta and the extended posterior margin of Cx-IV and the larger number of swimming setae on II-leg-5. Furthermore, a key to the Lebertia species of China is provided.

Lung damage in the COVID-19 patients leads to acute and chronic hypoxia, which results in in ﬂ ammation, epithelial-mesen-chymal transformation, and ﬁ brosis in kidney. Quercetin is an abun- dant ﬂ avonoid in plant materials. Previous studies indicate that quercetin alleviates the decline of renal function, suppress epithelial to mesenchymal transformation in renal tubules, and reduce ﬁ brosis. The study aimed to explore potential targets of quercetin on treating renal ﬁ brosis in patients with COVID-19-induced hoxpia. Methods: Gene/protein targets related to COVID-19, renal ﬁ brosis, or quercetin were searched from ten databases, and Cytoscape 3.8.2 was then used to construct the protein-protein interaction network and to identify the core targets. The Metascape platform was used for bio-concentration analysis, while AutoDock Vina was used as the primary molecular docking tool. In vitro, the combination model of hypoxia-and transforming growth factor-beta (TGF- b )- treated human proximal tubule epithelial cells (HK2 cells) was applied to determine the reno-protective effect of quercetin. Results: The network analysis showed that quercetin targeted on TGF- b pathway in treating COVID-19 induced renal ﬁ brosis. In the inter- section PPI network, 115 targets were obtained, and gene enrichment analysis was conducted on 109 key nodes. Molecular docking analysis revealed that quercetin could spontaneously bind to eight targets on the TGF- b pathway, and the binding energy of TGF- b 1 was 29.82 kJ/ mol. The in vitro experiment further showed that quercetin signi ﬁ - cantly suppressed ﬁ brosis in TGF- b and hypoxia treated HK2 cells in a dose dependent manner by inhibiting TGF- b /Smad3 pathway. Conclusions: Quercetin could attenuate renal ﬁ brosis in patients with COVID-19 by suppressing TGF- b /Smad3 pathway.
