TL;DR: Moderate beer consumption may help to maintain the tHcy levels in the normal range due to high folate content, and Folate from beer may contribute to the protective effect of alcohol consumption on cardiovascular disease in population with generally low folate intake from other nutrients.

TL;DR: The negative association of insulin resistance and serum homocysteine was unexpected and the contribution of plasma folate levels to serum homocrysteine levels and serum creatinine was significantly negative and positive, respectively.
Hypothyroidism in coronary heart disease and its relation to selected risk factors
TL;DR: Hypothyroidism was found highly prevalent in patient with clinical coronary heart disease, mainly in females, and was associated with several cardiovascular risk factors.
Mild hyperhomocysteinaemia is associated with increased aortic stiffness in general population.
