TL;DR: In this article, the decay time of the after pulses is to a first approximation temperature independent, with a decay constant in these particular crystals of around 15 μsec, and it is concluded that a temperature dependent dissipative process occurs at some time during the initial decay, and is followed by the decay to a ground state with a time constant independent of temperature.
