NMR detection of short-lived β -emitter 12 N implanted in water
T. Sugihara,Mototsugu Mihara,Jiro Shimaya,Kensaku Matsuta,M. Fukuda,J. Ohno,M. Tanaka,S. Yamaoka,K. Watanabe,S. Iwakiri,R. Yanagihara,Yukichi Tanaka,H. Du,K. Onishi,S. Kambayashi,Tadanori Minamisono,Daiki Nishimura,Takuji Izumikawa,A. Ozawa,Yoko Ishibashi,A. Kitagawa,S. Sato,Masami Torikoshi,Sadao Momota +23 more
TL;DR: In this article, the beta-detected nuclear magnetic resonance (β-NMR) in liquid H2O has been observed for the first time using a short-lived β-ray emitter 12N (I π = 1+,T 1/2=11 ms).

Sakai,S. Sato,D. Sera,F. Suzaki,Shinji Suzuki,M. Wakabayashi,M. Yaguchi,S. Yasumoto +36 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the total and partial charge-changing cross-sections of stable and unstable medium-mass nuclides were measured at intermediate energies, and a clear odd-even effect was found in the partial charge changing cross sections monotonically varies as a function of the Z/N ratio among the isotopes, and grows toward the neutron-deficient side.

Yamaki,Atsushi Kitagawa,S. Sato,Shigekazu Fukuda +31 more
- 01 Mar 2014
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction cross sections (σ R ) for the neutron-rich nucleus 14 B on Be, C, and Al targets have been measured at several energies in the intermediate energy range of 45-120 MeV/nucleon.

TL;DR: In this paper, the combination of a 12C beam and a proton target provides a fairly good quality of polarized 12N beam in terms of intensity and energy uniformity, and is promising for materials science use of 12N as a nuclear probe.

Spin polarization of 29P produced through low energy nuclear reaction
M. Yaguchi,Mototsugu Mihara,Mitsunori Fukuda,D. Nishimura,D. Nishimura,H. Uenishi,K. Iwamoto,M. Wakabayashi,J. Ohno,Y. Kamisho,Y. Morita,Tadanori Minamisono,K. Matsuta +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the spin polarization of short-lived β-emitting nucleus 29P (Iπ = 1/2 +, T1/2 = 4.14 s) produced through the 28P(d, n) 29P reaction was studied as functions of the incident deuteron energy Ed and the recoil angle θ of 29P.
