The paper focuses on the problem of reliability analysis in industrial equipment, to give the engineer to get better maintenance plans, based on right decision formu-late by reliability design. In this work, the gas turbine relia-bility is modelled by the Weibull distribution in different exploitation time, to optimize the operation and to meet the production. Operational reliability analysis applied to a gas turbine based on three parameter Weibull distribution

PT Indonesia Power merupakan penyedia tenaga listrik sistem Jawa-Bali terbesar se-Indonesia tetapi pertumbuhan produksi dari tahun ke tahun mengalami penurunan. Lalu penurunan tersebut ditandai dengan faktor keandalan yakni prosentase EAF (Equivalent Availability Factor) dan OAF (Operating Availability Factor) yang menurun. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan produksi serta tingkat keandalan PT Indonesia Power adalah kesiapan komponen part kritis yakni hotpart. Hotpart adalah serangkaian komponen turbin gas yang menerima aliran panas tinggi seperti yang berfungsi mengubah energi panas menjadi energi mekanik pada turbin gas. Penggunaan hotpart yang melebihi usia pakainya akan mengakibatkan perfomansi produksi listrik menurun. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan EOH (Equivalent Operating Hour), penentuan MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), penentuan availability, dan melakukan analisa efisiensi penggantian hotpart yang tepat. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai EOH sebesar 7402 jam untuk combustor inspection, 9570 jam untuk turbine inspection, 8088 jam untuk combustor++ inspection, dan 8444 jam untuk major inspection. Nilai MTBF terbesar terdapat pada turbine blade 3 dengan nilai 68897 jam. Kemudian dilakukan perencanaan penggantian hotpart sehingga pihak manajemen pemeliharaan dapat mengatur waktu pemesanan tanpa mengganggu jadwal pemeliharaan periodik.

Penentuan mtbf (mean time between failure) sebagai dasar aktivitas maintenance untuk meningkatkan efisiensi

The reliability of the compressor system determines the gas supply safety. An important method to improve the reliability is to set up standby compressors in stations, conducted by the standby compressor or power. A lack of quantitative assessments of standby compressors often results in more spare compressors or power than actually needed, which wastes money. In this study, a reliability-based method is proposed to determine the numbers and positions of the standby compressors, which can reduce investments, and ensure reliability. Firstly, Monte Carlo method was used to calculate the compressor outage probability of the whole pipeline, respectively, through which the initial number of standby compressors was obtained. Further, the standby schemes were designed, in which the positions of the failed compressors were obtained by the Monte Carlo simulation. Moreover, the worst situation in which the compressors were shut down was used to test the standby scheme, calculating the flow reliability, pressure boundary, and total power. Finally, using the Xin–Yue–Zhe pipeline as a case study, the results indicate that the number of standby compressors in the improved schemes was reduced by seven and the pipeline reliability reached 96.86%.
