The Dust in the Coma of Comet Halley
Joniek I. Hage,J. Mayo Greenberg +1 more
- 01 Jan 1991
TL;DR: In this article, the porosity of comets was derived from observations of comet Halley and derived from the relative amount of silicates to organic materials and the mass distribution of the dust.

The interstellar connection to solar system bodies
J. Mayo Greenberg,Joniek I. Hage +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors retrace the sequence starting with a dense interstellar cloud, through the accretion disk phase of the protoplanetary nebula to various steps in the aggregation process and finally to the physical and chemical metamorphic processes in the final body during the subsequent 4.55 billion years.
Panspermia — a Modern Astrophysical and Biological Approach
J. Mayo Greenberg,Peter Weber +1 more
- 01 Jan 1985
TL;DR: In this paper, a laboratory simulation of the effect of the interstellar environment has been used to provide quantitative estimates of bacterial spore survival in the space between the stars, showing that the most hazardous times in such a journey are at the start and finish and although the requirements for survival during these periods are quantified, the possibility or probability of their being satisfied remains pure conjecture.
