Oligocene and Lower Miocene source rocks in the Paratethys: palaeogeographical and stratigraphic controls
Reinhard F. Sachsenhofer,Sergey V. Popov,Achim Bechtel,Stjepan Ćorić,J. Francu,Reinhard Gratzer,Patrick Grunert,Maciej J. Kotarba,J. Mayer,Magdalena Pupp,Bernhard Rupprecht,S.J. Vincent +11 more
TL;DR: In the Eastern Paratethys, Oligocene and Lower Miocene (Maikopian) sediments in the Carpathian Basin (Menilite Formation) can generate up to 10 t HC m−2 as mentioned in this paper.

Stratigraphy, structure and petroleum exploration play types of the Rioni Basin, Georgia
Gabor Tari,D. Vakhania,G. Tatishvili,V. Mikeladze,K. Gogritchiani,S. Vacharadze,J. Mayer,C. Sheya,W. Siedl,J. J. M. Banon,J. L. Trigo Sanchez +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the Rioni Basin is an underexplored petroliferous basin located at the Georgian margin of the Black Sea flanked by two folded belts (the Greater Caucasus and the Achara-Trialet Belt) and the existence of an Upper Jurassic regional evaporite seal highlights the possibility of pre-salt plays in the northern part of the basin.

Source potential and depositional environment of Oligocene and Miocene rocks offshore Bulgaria
J. Mayer,Bernhard Rupprecht,Reinhard F. Sachsenhofer,Gabor Tari,Achim Bechtel,Stjepan Ćorić,W. Siedl,W. Kosi,J. Floodpage +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, geochemical logs from nine wells were used together with age constraints provided by calcareous nannoplankton, well and seismic data to determine vertical and lateral changes of the source potential.
