Cristian Scapozza,Christophe Lambiel,Emmanuel Reynard,J.-M. Fallot,Marco Antognini,Philippe Schoeneich +5 more
TL;DR: Fossil wood stem remains of larch (Larix decidua) were found 1'm below the surface at the base of the front of the Piancabella rock glacier (46°27′02″N, 9°00′07″E, 2480 m a.s.a.t. as mentioned in this paper.
Benefits of Water-Harvesting Systems (Jessour) on Soil Water Retention in Southeast Tunisia
Martin Calianno,J.-M. Fallot,Tarek Ben Fraj,Hédi Ben Ouezdou,Emmanuel Reynard,Marianne Milano,Mohamed Abbassi,Aziza Ghram Messedi,Thierry Adatte +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors quantify the water balance of the soil in the village of Zammour in the Dahar plateau (southeastern Tunisia) at the scale of agricultural plots and show that despite arid climate conditions, despite the culture of the olive tree beyond its ecological limits, the soil retained the equivalent of 410.3 mm of soil moisture to a depth of 1.25 m.
