TL;DR: A cross sectional study in older mobility-limited community-dwelling men and women lacked clear association between serum 25(OH)D and physical performance in mobility limited adults, but a potentially interesting observation was that at higher serum levels of 25( OH)D a better performance on the chair stand test was indicated.

TL;DR: Progressive resistance exercise is commonly used to address impairments in muscular strength and improve physical function in older adults, but it is not known whether improvements in physical function coincide with an increase in physical activity after an intervention of PRE.
