DNA methylation and the regulation of globin gene expression.
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of DNA methylation on human gamma-globin gene expression, using a novel in vitro DNA methylization technique, was studied, and it was shown that methylation in the 5' region of a gene might play a direct role in the regulation of gene expression.

Cloning and developmental expression of the murine neurofilament gene family
TL;DR: In this paper, DNA clones encoding the 3 mouse neurofilament (NF) genes have been isolated by cross-hybridization with a previously described NF-L cDNA probe from the rat.

Expression of murine H-2Kb histocompatibility antigen in cells transformed with cloned H-2 genes.

TL;DR: Results show that expression of the H-2Kb gene product on the L-cell surface is sufficient to make it a target for specific T-cell killing.

Efficient 3′-end formation of human β-globin mRNA in vivo requires sequences within the last intron but occurs independently of the splicing reaction
TL;DR: Quantitative comparisons between betaIVS-II mutants at physiological levels of expression from within a natural chromatin context in vivo imply that the last intervening sequence of multiple intron containing genes is a principal determinant of the efficiency of 3'-end formation and may act as a post-transcriptional regulatory step in gene expression.

TL;DR: The human P-globin gene is part of a multigenefamily and is expressed specifically in adulthumanerythroid tissue(for review, 1, 2).
