Site-selective adsorption of xenon on a stepped Ru(0001) surface
TL;DR: In this paper, the adsorption of xenon has been studied with low energy electron diffraction (LEED) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) to ascertain the surface perfectness.

UV-photoelectron spectroscopy from xenon adsorbed on heterogeneous metal surfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, the same concept holds for xenon adsorption on heterogeneous surfaces, interpreted in terms of a pure dipole shift of the Xe 5p 3 2, 1/2 states and has been utilized to titrate the relative abundance of different crystallographic facets on a polycrystalline palladium foil.

Oxygen interaction with CoSi(100) and CoSi2(100) surfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of oxygen with (100) surfaces of single crystalline CoSi and CoSi 2 has been studied using LEED, AES and UPS techniques, and it is found that the oxygen uptake kinetics at CoSi resembles that measured at Co surfaces, whereas at Co Si 2 almost Si-like behaviour is observed.
