Integrated unit-cell-thin MXene and Schottky electric field into piezo-photocatalyst for enhanced photocarrier separation and hydrogen evolution
Yizhang Wu,Ding-Shen Yang,Yun Zhang,Shulin Jiao,W Tang,Zhao-Xu Wang,Nian-Le Wu,Yong Wang,Wei Zhong,Aimei Zhang,J. Hao,Hong-Ling Cai,Xs S. Wu +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a two-dimensional interfacial Schottky heterojunction was constructed by depositing ultrathin and flaky Ti 3 C 2 T x (FTC) on ZnO films, which can facilitate the separation of photogenerated electronholes under the piezo-polarization charges induced by piezoelectricity.

Realising a Strong Visible-Light Absorption Band in Piezoelectric 2D Carbon Nitride Sheets for Enhanced Piezocatalysis
Yong Wang,Yilv Guo,Chengxin Zeng,Ding-Shen Yang,Yun Zhang,Liting Wu,Yizhang Wu,J. Hao,Jian Wang,Rusen Yang +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors proposed a fluorination and defluorination strategy for carbon nitride sheets (CNs) with a strong visible-light absorption band and a sharp absorption edge beyond 574 nm.

Realizing Strong Visible-Light Absorption Band for 2D Crystalline Carbon Nitride Sheets Induced by Extending π-Conjugation and Introducing Cyano Groups
Yong Wang,M Sun,W Tang,Qikun Li,Zewei Ren,Yichen Liu,Yun Zhang,Chengxin Zeng,Zhenni Wang,Yizhang Wu,J. Hao,Xiaoshan Wu,Rusen Yang +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors observed an unusual strong visible-light absorption band in crystalline carbon nitride sheets (CNs) without introducing the tail-like absorption band, and the experimental results and density functional theory calculations revealed the new mechanism: (i) π-conjugated system between the heptazine units is extended in modulated CNs, (ii) the visible light absorption band of CNs is expanded by introducing cyano groups into the πconjugation system, and (iii) modulated NC charge distribution possesses local characteristics that accelerate photogenerated carriers transport.

LDHs-based bifunctional electrocatalyst for effective tunable syngas generation via CO2 reduction
Dan Ping,Siguang Huang,Shide Wu,Yifei Zhang,Feng Yi,Lifeng Han,Shiwen Wang,Heng Wang,Xuzhao Yang,Dong-Jie Guo,J. Hao,Shaoming Fang +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , a bifunctional catalysts for efficient tunable syngas generation via electroreduction of CO2 was constructed by using layered double hydroxide (LDHs) and g-C3N4 precursors, respectively.
