Decay pattern of pygmy states observed in neutron-rich 26Ne.
J. Gibelin,D. Beaumel,Tohru Motobayashi,Y. Blumenfeld,Nori Aoi,H. Baba,Z. Elekes,S. Fortier,N. Frascaria,Naoki Fukuda,T. Gomi,Ken Ishikawa,Y. Kondo,T. Kubo,V. Lima,Takashi Nakamura,A. Saito,Y. Satou,J. A. Scarpaci,E. Takeshita,Satoshi Takeuchi,Takashi Teranishi,Yasuhiro Togano,A. M. Vinodkumar,Yoshiyuki Yanagisawa,Koichi Yoshida +25 more
TL;DR: In this article, the decay pattern of low-lying strength in a neutron-rich nucleus is measured, which is not consistent with several mean-field theory descriptions of the pygmy states.

Thomas +29 more
TL;DR: Isoscalar giant resonances have been measured in the unstable Ni68 nucleus using inelastic alpha and deuteron scattering at 50A MeV in inverse kinematics with the active target MAYA at GANIL using alpha scattering, the extracted ISGMR centroid was determined to be 211±19 MeV and the ISGQR to be 159±13 MeV.
Indirect determination of the 230Th(n, f ) and 231Th(n, f ) cross sections for thorium-based nuclear energy systems
Bethany L. Goldblum,S. R. Stroberg,J. M. Allmond,C. T. Angell,L. A. Bernstein,D. L. Bleuel,Jason Burke,J. Gibelin,L. W. Phair,N. D. Scielzo,E. Swanberg,M. Wiedeking,Eric B. Norman,Eric B. Norman,Eric B. Norman +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the surrogate 230,231Th(n,f) cross sections were compared to cross section evaluations and directly-measured experimental data, where available, and the desired compound nuclei were populated using (3He,3He) and (3he) reactions on targets of 232Th and 236U and relative fission decay probabilities were measured.
Absolute and Relative Surrogate Measurements of the 236U(n,f) Cross Section as a Probe for Angular Momentum Effects

- 03 Apr 2007
TL;DR: In this paper, the absolute and relative cross sections of the {sup 236}U(n,f) cross section were derived using both relative and absolute surrogate techniques over an equivalent neutron energy range of 0 to 20 MeV.
