Calculated ar-xvii line-intensities and comparison with spectra from the alcator-c tokamak
Kenneth J. H. Phillips,Francis P. Keenan,Louise K. Harra,S. M. McCann,E. Rachlew-Källne,J.E. Rice,M. Wilson +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the excitation rates in Ar+16 and of nearby dielectronic satellite lines were used to synthesize X-ray spectra in the range 3.9-4.1 A where lines due to the chief n=1-2 transitions occur.

Calculated Ar XVII line intensities and comparison with spectra from the Alcator C tokamak
Kenneth J. H. Phillips,Francis P. Keenan,Louise K. Harra,S. M. McCann,E. Rachlew-Källne,J.E. Rice,M. Wilson +6 more
TL;DR: Using collisional excitation rates in He-like argon (Ar XVII) and intensity factors and other data for nearby dielectronic satellites, X-ray line spectra have been synthesized as a function of electron temperature and density as discussed by the authors.
