Reliability of RAPD fingerprinting of three basidiomycete fungi, Laccaria, Hydnangium and Rhizoctonia
TL;DR: Reproducibility of fingerprint patterns in a standard reaction mixture was achieved, suggesting that particular RAPD fingerprints may be reproduced in any laboratory provided the same set of reaction and thermocycle conditions are used.

Characterization of cereal bare patch isolates of Rhizoctonia solani by random amplified polymorphic DNA analysis
TL;DR: RAPD-PCR was used to characterize isolates of Rhizoctonia solani from bare patches in cereal and pasture crops at two locations in Western Australia, Newdegate and Esperance, and there was no difference in RAPD- PCR pattern between highly virulent and weakly virulent isolates at Newdegates.

Association of Rhizoctonia strains with bare patch disease of wheat in Western Australia
TL;DR: Rhizoctonia‐like fungi were isolated from the roots of diseased wheat plants sampled from the centre and periphery of three bare patches, and from apparently healthy plants from outside the patches, where the frequency of occurrence of binucleate isolates did not vary significantly among the locations sampled.
