Engineering of solar photocatalytic collectors
S. Malato Rodrı́guez,J. Blanco Gálvez,M. I. Maldonado Rubio,P. Fernández Ibáñez,D. Alarcón Padilla,M. Collares Pereira,J. Farinha Mendes,J. Correia de Oliveira +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the different collectors used in solar photocatalysis for wastewater treatment and, based on prior experience, the main advantages and disadvantages of each collector for solar photochemical applications.

Photocatalytic oxidation of cyanide in aqueous TiO2 suspensions irradiated by sunlight in mild and strong oxidant conditions
Vincenzo Augugliaro,J. Blanco Gálvez,J. Cáceres Vázquez,E. Garcia Lopez,Vittorio Loddo,M. J. López Muñoz,S. Malato Rodrı́guez,Giuseppe Marcì,Leonardo Palmisano,Mario Schiavello,J.Soria Ruiz +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of the presence of an organic compound (phenol) or of a strong oxidant (H2O2) on the photoprocess was also studied.

Treatment of chlorinated solvents by TiO2 photocatalysis and photo-Fenton: influence of operating conditions in a solar pilot plant
S. Malato Rodrı́guez,J. Blanco Gálvez,Manuel I. Maldonado Rubio,P. Fernández Ibáñez,Wolfgang Gernjak,I. Oller Alberola +5 more
TL;DR: Several operating parameters related to NBCS degradation, e.g., treatment time, temperature, hydrogen peroxide consumption and volatility of parent compounds are discussed, finding photo-Fenton to be the more appropriate treatment for these compounds, assuming volatilisation as a drawback of photocatalytic degradation of NBCS dissolved in water.

Photo-Fenton degradation of alachlor, atrazine, chlorfenvinphos, diuron, isoproturon and pentachlorophenol at solar pilot plant
M. I. Maldonado Rubio,Wolfgang Gernjak,I. Oller Alberola,J. Blanco Gálvez,Pilar Fernández-Ibáñez,S. Malato Rodrı́guez +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, homogeneous photocatalysis by photo-Fenton processes has been applied to the degradation of six water-soluble pesticides (alachlor, atrazine, chlorfenvinphos, diuron, isoproturon and pentachlorophenol), considered priority substances by the European Union Water Framework Directive (Directive 2000/60/EC).
