Design and electro-thermal simulation of a polysilicon microheater on a suspended membrane for use in gas sensing
TL;DR: In this paper, a microhotplate array comprising four 100 μm x 100μm unit cells has been designed, which has a multi-layer structure: Si-thermal oxide-polySi-PECVD (plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition) oxide-Sputtered Pt-Gas sensing film (SnO 2 ).
Analysis of end straightness of rail during manufacturing
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a finite element model of 7.0 m rail length for similar study, in order to save computer time and storage space largely, and provided guidance for the minimum length of the rail to be cut to achieve the end straightness of new rail within acceptable limits.

Failure investigation of Platen Superheater Outlet Header
TL;DR: In this paper, the failure of a platen superheater outlet header of a 210MW thermal power plant was investigated and it was concluded that start stop transients, temperature fluctuations during operation (minor in magnitude, but large in number), abnormal thermal shocks (few but severe) and design deficiency are possible causes of formation of thermal fatigue cracks in the ligament region.
