Mapping single-cell transcriptomes in the intra-tumoral and associated territories of kidney cancer
Ruoyan Li,John R. Ferdinand,Kevin W. Loudon,Georgina Bowyer,Sean Laidlaw,Francesc Muyas,Lira Mamanova,Joana B. Neves,Liam Bolt,Eirini S. Fasouli,Andrew R. J. Lawson,Matthew D. Young,Yvette Hooks,Thomas R. W. Oliver,Tim Butler,J. Armitage,Tev Aho,Antony C. P. Riddick,V. M. Gnanapragasam,Sarah Welsh,Kerstin B. Meyer,A Warren,Maxine G. B. Tran,Grant D. Stewart,Isidro Cortes-Ciriano,Sam Behjati,Menna R. Clatworthy,Peter J. Campbell,Sarah A. Teichmann,Thomas J. Mitchell +29 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors performed a comprehensive molecular characterization of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and found that the tissue-type location of CD8+ T cell clonotypes largely defines their exhaustion state with intra-tumoral spatial heterogeneity that is not well explained by somatic heterogeneity.

Formation of Working Surfaces in Radiatively Cooled Laboratory Jets
David J. Ampleford,Sergey Lebedev,Andrea Ciardi,Simon Bland,S. C. Bott,J. P. Chittenden,Gareth Hall,C. A. Jennings,J. Armitage,G. Blyth,S. Christie,L. Rutland +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a photo-ionized, quasi-stationary gas cloud is used to model the formation and propagation of a collimated outflow in the MAGPIE generator and a working surface is observed at the head of the jet.

Sensitivity of an antineutrino monitor for remote nuclear reactor discovery
L. Kneale,Steve T Wilson,Tara Appleyard,J. Armitage,N. Holland,M. Malek +5 more
- 20 Oct 2022
TL;DR: In this paper , a gadolinium-doped water-based Cherenkov detector was used to detect antineutrinos from a nuclear reactor for monitoring for non-proliferation applications.

Remote Reactor Ranging via Antineutrino Oscillations
Steve T Wilson,J. Armitage,Tara Appleyard,N. Holland,M. Malek,John G. Learned +5 more
- 29 Mar 2023
TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed using gadolinium-doped water Cherenkov detectors for monitoring in the mid-to far-field as part of a non-proliferation toolkit.
