TL;DR: In this article, a method for constructing and operating multi-wire proportional chambers with systematic gain variations of less than ± 2% rms over their entire active area is described, where rms is defined as the ratio of the total gain to the number of wires in the chamber's active area.

TL;DR: In this paper, an electronic tracking system was used to measure the lifetime of D0 mesons produced in e+e- annihilation at 29 GeV, based on a sample of 27 events, the lifetime was found to be (4.2-1.3 1.0) × 10-13 s.
