TITLE THE DIFFERENCE OF COUNSELING WITH VIDEO MEDIA AND HAND PUPPETS TO IMPROVING KNOWLEDGE OF DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS ABSTRACT  Knowledge less regarding oral hygiene is one cause of child neglect oral health problems. Knowledge of oral health in children of school groups deserve special attention because at this age children are undergoing the growth process of previous dental situation will influence the development of dental health in adulthood. Through training programs is expected to increase knowledge and raise awareness of the importance of maintaining oral health and able to participate actively in increasing efforts to nurture ourselves. Purpose of this study is to know the difference influence of illumination using video media and a hand puppet to the improvement of oral health.This study is a quasi experimental design with Two Group Design. Samples are students of SD Islam Diponegoro sampling purposive sampling technique. This study using univariate and bivariate data analysis with the Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney. This study shows that oral health education using video media and hand puppets influential in promoting oral health knowledge it can be seen from the pre-accession and post-test tet each with a value of p 0.005.Each media effective in improving knowledge but there is no significant difference between the method of video and hand puppets to increased knowledge of elementary school children about oral health.

Oral health of Indonesian people still be things that must have serious attention from the health service, including dentist or dental nurse. Based on the report basic health research (RISKESDAS) 2007 The Department of health released in 2009 revealed that proportion of people with problems with the teeth and mouth in South Borneo province as much 29.2%. Plaque have an important role to the formation caries and plaque cannot removed by simply gargle but needs to be done by mechanical cleaning is brushing teeth. In general population in various district province south kalimantan brush teeth every day 94,4 %. The prevalence of the population who behaves true rubbing teeth in the province of South Borneo as many 10.3 %.
Purpose: This research aimed to find out effectivity brushing method horizontal, vertical and roll to decrease plaque children ages 9-11 years SDN Pemurus Dalam 6 Banjarmasin. Methods: The type of this research was a Quasi Experimental with Pre-Post Test One Group Design. Using disclosing agent to identify plaque on the teeth before and after treatment and used index measurement personal hygiene performance of modified (phpm).
Results: There was significant difference between the effectiveness brushing method of horizontal, roll and
vertical. Conclusion: Horizontal brushing method was more effective clean plaque.

Efektivitas Menyikat Gigi Metode Horizontal, Vertical Dan Roll Terhadap Penurunan Plak Pada Anak Usia 9-11 Tahun

Lately, a decline in number of television audience, especially teenagers, took a place. They preferred watching contents of video on YouTube to TV programs. The kind of video which saw a trend and a popular interest was video blogging or vlog, which content was about a video of the YouTube channel owner's daily activities. Teenagers dominated the number of viewers of vlog. As YouTube, one of the modern mass media, had several impact on audience, either positively or negatively. The purpose of this study was to observe any behavior showed up as the effect of watching vlog in terms of teenager viewers. Non probability sampling and snowball sampling technique were used to acquire the samples for this study. Teenagers aged 13-24 were the sample population. 1000 respondent participated as samples in this study. Quantitative descriptive statistics were utilized as data analysis in this study. The result of the study was there were four behaviors that showed up as the effects of watching vlog as teenagers. The first was a change in the pattern of media consumption . It was shown by the result that 99% of the respondents choose internet as the platform of the media of information. YouTube became the most visited site, and vlog became the most liked video content to watch. It showed that the appearance of vlog on YouTube had changes the watching behavior of teenagers, also making vlog as the source of information and entertainment. The second was identification of the teenagers towards YouTube users. According to the result of the study, about 82% of the respondent had imitated or identifying toward a vlogger. Teenagers imitated the vloggers' attitude and behavior because they considered them as ideal since they found themselves somewhat lacking on the inside. The third was the behavior of watching vlog and buying decision. The result of the study showed that about 84% of the respondents were helped in terms of determining buying decision by a review made by a vlogger. A vloggers review became one of several factors determining one's buying decision. The fourth was fandom phenomenon. The result of the study revealed that 76% of the respondent had joined as members of a fansclub for a blogger. Such fact revealed that not only did the teenagers admire the vlogger's behavior and appearance, but also supporting anything that he/she did. The writer suggested that a vlogger should be giving good example in terms of behavior, attitude, and verbal expression when making a vlog. And for the viewers, especially teenage viewers, they should choose wisely about which video to watch and not to watch.

Dampak Menonton Vlog terhadap Perilaku Viewers Remaja (Studi Eksploratif Penonton Vlog)

Pemerintah Indonesia memiliki target bahwa pada tahun 2030 telah sehat bebas karies, Pemberantasan karies perlu dilakukan dari level terendah, yakni di tahap promosi kesehatan, misalnya sikat gigi bersama di pagi hari. Beberapa sekolah dasar di wilayah kerja Puskesmas X Kota Bandung telah melaksanakan program tersebut. Penelitian ini membahas perbantingan tingkat kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada sekolah dasar negeri yang telah menjalankan program sikat gigi pagi dan yang belum menjalankan program sikat gigi pagi. Penelitian dilakukan pada dua sekolah dasar negeri yang terdapat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas X Kota Bandung. Pemeriksaan rongga mulut dilakukan sebanyak dua kali pada subjek yang sama, yakni pada bulan November 2015 dan bulan November 2016. Skor def-t tahun 2015 pada kedua sekolah tersebut adalah 6,33 dan 7,53, tahun 2016 adalah 4,73 dan 4,81. Skor DMF-T pada tahun 2015 adalah 0,18 dan 0,14, pada tahun 2016 adalah 1,00 dan 0,66. Tingkat kesehatan gigi dan mulut tidak berbeda secara signifikan (p<0,05) pada kedua sekolah tersebut.

Dental caries is a disease of the hard tissue of the teeth that attacks the enamel, dentin and cementum which is characterized by the demineralization of the hard tissue of the teeth. Streptococcus mutans bacteria itself is one of the bacteria found and lives in the oral cavity. One of the infectious diseases caused by the process of removing minerals due to bacteria on the surface of the teeth is called caries. An alternative choice as an effort to solve the problem of inhibiting caries-causing bacteria is by using herbal mouthwash. One of them is lime peel. Lime peel has the potential to inhibit Streptococcus mutans bacteria as indicated by the formation of an inhibition zone, which is formed against Streptococcus mutans bacteria. Making a mouthwash preparation of lime peel extract (Citrus Aurantifolia) which is feasible and effective in inhibiting the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. This research is a true experiment with post test only control group design. This design was chosen because it was grouped into treatment and control groups. The intervention was given in the form of lime peel extract mouthwash with concentrations of 15%, 25% and 50%, while the administration of the UNISSULA Faculty of Medicine Biomedical Laboratory Mouthwash Formula was the control group. Based on the average inhibition graph within 24 hours, the concentration of extract mouthwash The lowest lime peel was 15% = 8.83 mm, the highest inhibition zone was at a concentration of 50% = 10.50 mm, 25% concentration = 9.80 mm, the control group Formula Mouthwash Biomedical Laboratory Concoction of the Faculty of Medicine UNISSULA = 10, 13mm. Lime peel extract mouthwash is feasible and effective in inhibiting streptococcus mutans which causes caries. 

The Potential of Lime Peel Extract Mouthwash as A Non-Pharmacological Preparation Inhibits Caries Bacteria

One of the ways to overcome dental and oral health problems is by brushing teeth, the optimal result of brushing teeth properly is the morning after breakfast and the night before going to bed. Tooth brushing using toothbrushes is a form of dental plaque removal and prevention of accumulation of the teeth and gingival surface because plaque is the main etiological factor of periodontal disease and is associated with dental caries, therefore in removing plaque it is very important to determine long-term success in preventing caries tooth. Through the promotion of dental health education, it is expected to increase knowledge and foster awareness of the importance of toothbrushes to maintain healthy teeth and mouth. The purpose of this study is to recognize the differences in the influence of dental health education promotion using blog videos (vlog) with lecture methods on the practice of brushing teeth. This type of research is a Quasi-experiment with the design of the Two-Group Design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling namely SD Panghegar and SD Sukarela. Univariate and bivariate analysis with Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. This study shows the promotion of dental health education using vlog and lectures has an effect on increasing the practice of brushing teeth. It can be seen that there is an increase in the practice of brushing teeth from the value of pre-test and post-test respectively with a value of p <0.05. But based on statistical tests there is no significant difference in influence by using both methods with a value of p = 0.035. This means that both methods are effective in increasing knowledge about the practice of brushing teeth, and there is no significant difference between the promotion of dental health education using vlogs and using lectures.
