Water Scarcity- A Major Human Security Challenge to Pakistan

TL;DR: According to National Drinking Water Policy (NDWP), 35% of the Pakistani population is deficient to get access to safe drinking water as discussed by the authors, which means that at least 45 to 120 liter per capita per day of drinking water is available to rural and urban areas, respectively, within the house or at such a distance that the total time required for reaching the water source, collecting water and returning home is not more than 30 minutes.
