Radial distribution of stellar motions in Gaia DR2
Daisuke Kawata,Junichi Baba,Ioana Ciuca,Mark Cropper,Robert J. J. Grand,Robert J. J. Grand,Jason A. S. Hunt,George M. Seabroke +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first maps of the rotation velocity and vertical velocity distributions as a function of the Galactocentric radius, R − V − Vπ, were generated by using position and velocity measurements for an unprecedented large number of stars provided in Gaia DR2.

COVID-19 in children: An ample review
TL;DR: It is highlighted that COVID-19 in children is similar to the disease in the adult population, but with particularities regarding clinical manifestations, laboratory test results, chest imaging, and treatment, and the prognosis is much better for children compared to adults.
Unveiling the Distinct Formation Pathways of the Inner and Outer Discs of the Milky Way with Bayesian Machine Learning
TL;DR: In this paper, a Bayesian Machine Learning framework called BINGO (Bayesian INference for Galactic archaeOlogy) centred around a bayesian neural network was developed to obtain precise relative stellar age estimates with uncertainties for the APOGEE stars.

Spectral and spatial analysis of the dark matter subhalo candidates among Fermi Large Area Telescope unidentified sources
Javier Coronado-Blázquez,Miguel A. Sánchez-Conde,Mattia Di Mauro,Alejandra Aguirre-Santaella,Ioana Ciuca,Aaron Dominguez,Daisuke Kawata,Nestor Mirabal +7 more
TL;DR: The work of JCB, MASC and AAS was additionally supported by the Spanish Agencia Estatal de Investigacion through the grants PGC2018-095161-BI00, IFT Centro de Excelencia Severo Ochoa SEV-2016-0597, and Red Consolider MultiDark FPA2017-90566-REDC.

- 02 Nov 2022
TL;DR: In this paper , the denoised age-metallicity relationship of the Galactic disc stars was analyzed using the Bayesian Machine Learning framework BINGO (Bayesian INference for Galactic archaeOlogy) to obtain high-quality stellar age estimates.
