Allometric biomass equations for young broadleaved trees in plantations in Romania
TL;DR: The aim of this study is to provide species-specific and general biomass equations for young plants often used for plantations on marginal lands in southern and eastern Romania, and it is observed that the equation could be applied without regard for local fertility conditions or plantation management.

The Natura 2000 Ecological Network and Forests in Romania: Implications on Management and Administration
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed that, at least for sites covering large areas and including diverse forms of ownership, the administration is more efficient at the level of existing forest districts than at site level.

Site-effects on biomass allometric models for early growth plantations of Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.)
Ioan Dutcă,Ioan Dutcă,Richard Mather,Viorel Blujdea,Florin Ioraș,Mănăilă Olari,Ioan Vasile Abrudan +6 more
TL;DR: The considerable between site variability of allometric relationships suggests that consideration of stand effects is essential for the robust prediction of biomass.

Biomass Conversion and Expansion Factors for Young Norway Spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) Trees Planted on Non-Forest Lands in Eastern Carpathians
TL;DR: The study shows that BCEFs decreased with increasing tree dimensions, following an exponential trend, and stem wood density decreased sharply with the increase of the two tree dimensions used as variables.

Estimation of forest land-cover change in romania, between 1990 and 2006
Ioan Dutcă,Ioan Vasile Abrudan +1 more
- 01 Jan 2010
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors estimate the changes in land cover in the period 1990-2006 in Romania by using Corine Land Cover products, based on satellite images from three different years: 1990, 2000 and 2006.
