Incomplete Reversal of Enoxaparin-Induced Bleeding by Protamine Sulfate
TL;DR: The neutralizing effect of protamine sulfate on enoxaparin-induced bleeding was compared in two rat models, and apparent 'all-or-none' response was seen in the tail skin, in agreement with a different hemostatic mechanism in the two bleeding models.

Day-to-day variations in serum iron, serum iron binding capacity, serum ferritin and erythrocyte protoporphyrin concentrations in anaemic subjects.
Inge Romslo,Ingebrigt Talstad +1 more
TL;DR: In patients with anaemia, day‐to‐day variations in serum iron, serum iron binding capacity, erythrocyte protoporphyrin and serum ferritin are at least as high as in healthy controls.

In vitro release of lysozyme from monocytes and granulocytes.
TL;DR: The monocytes, which are not already stimulated by adherence to nonphagocytosable surfaces, are capable of selective enzyme release similar to that of the granulocytes, indicating synthesis of the enzyme following release.

Heparin therapy adjusted for body weight.
TL;DR: The maintenance therapy showed linearity between heparin concentrations and the dosage of heparIn/kg body weight and 24 hours; however, the sensitivity for maintenance therapy differed between patients.

Acute meningitis and cerebellar dysfunction complicating high-dose cytosine arabinoside therapy.
TL;DR: A patient with acute lymphocytic leukemia who was treated with high-dose cytosine arabinoside (Ara-C) 3 g/m2 twice daily, developed reversible acute aseptic meningitis and signs of cerebellar dysfunction after a total dose of 24 g Ara-C.
