Pemberian ASI banyak manfaatnya, baik untuk ibu maupun untuk bayinya, namun kecenderungan untuk ibu menyusui bayinya secara ekslusif masih rendah. Riset WHO pada tahun 2011 di seluruh dunia menyatakan kurang dari 40% bayi menyusu eksklusif. Rendahnya pemberian ASI ekslusif dapat disebabkan oleh faktor karakteristik, internal, dan eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran karakteristik yang dapat menyebabkan ibu tidak memberikan ASI ekslusif di Desa Cikeruh pada bulan Agustus 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Data yang diperoleh adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari kuesioner. Dengan sampel sebanyak 36 orang responden. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah univariat. Hasil penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemberian ASI ekslusif oleh ibu menyusui berdasarkan karakteristik yaitu ibu berusia 20-35 tahun (80,6%), tidak bekerja (66,7%), multipara  (66,7%), motivasi ibu dalam menyusui (50%), ibu dengan pengetahuan kurang (41,7%), dukungan keluarga mengenai ASI eksklusif yang rendah (55,6%), dan waktu awal pemberian susu formula diberikan kepada bayi saat usia 0-1 bulan (91,7%). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah gambaran karakteristik ibu menyusui yang tidak memberikan ASI eksklusif yaitu usia ibu 20-35 tahun, dan waktu ibu memberikan susu formula saat bayi berusia 0-1 bulan. Gambaran Karakteristik Ibu Menyusui Tidak Memberikan Asi Eksklusif Di Desa Cikeruh Kecamatan Jatinangor Kabupaten Sumedang Tahun 2015

Fish is very good for health because it contains various important nutrients such as protein, fat, and minerals. Fish flour can be added to food product to obtain physiological effects and improve the nutritional status of fortified foods. This study aims to examine the characteristics of Bulan-bulan fish (Megalops cyprinoides) and its potential as fish flour. This research was divided into two stages, namely characterization of the fresh fish and preliminary analysis of its potential as fish flour. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the edible portion of fresh fish was only 42.81%, whereas the remaining of 57.19% was processing waste. The fish had a high protein content of 21.43%, fat content was 13.32%, ash content was 12.80%, moisture content was 42.29% and carbohydrate content was 10.19%. The fish flour had powdered form; clean, normal, and bright appearance; bright brownish yellow color; quite dry and non-lumpy texture; and specific aroma. The yield of the fish flour was 22,75%, whereas the protein content of the fish flour was 55.44% which comply with the protein’s requirement of quality II fish flour.

Exclusive breastfeeding is very beneficial for babies. The impact is not given exclusive breastfeeding could be increased morbidity and mortality, nutritional problems, impaired child growth, loss generation, increase the burden of family and state expenditures for the expenditure of formula milk and much more. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and characteristics of mothers towards exclusive breastfeeding with infant nutritional status. This study used a quantitative method with analytic observational design with a case control.. The study was conducted by 110 mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months in the Cibangkong Bandung village. It was consisting of 55 mothers who had babies with nutritional problems and 55 mothers who had babies with normal nutritional status. Data retrieval used a questionnaire. Assessment of nutritional status used the standard WHO child growth standards. The sample was taken by simple random sampling technique. Data analysis using logistic regression test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p= 0,006), and exclusive breastfeeding behavior (p= 0,013) with the nutritional status of the baby. In addition, maternal characteristics had an effect  of 4,3 times to age and parity in the nutritional status of infants. By knowing the relationship between knowledge factors, attitudes, behaviors and characteristics of mothers with infant nutritional status, it is expected to have leverage to improve the nutritional status of infants. ASI eksklusif sangat bermanfaat bagi bayi, dampak yang dapat terjadi apabila bayi tidak diberikan ASI eksklusif adalah meningkatnya angka kesakitan dan kematian bayi, masalah gizi, gangguan tumbuh kembang anak, terjadinya loss generation, meningkatkan beban pengeluaran keluarga serta negara untuk  pengeluaran susu formula dan masih banyak lagi.  Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan , sikap, perilaku dan karakteristik Ibu terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan status gizi bayi . Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan d esain observasional secara kasus kontrol . P enelitian dilakukan 110  ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 6-12 bulan di kelurahan Cibangkong Bandung yang terdiri dari 55 ibu yang memiliki bayi dengan masalah gizi dan 55 ibu yang memiliki bayi dengan status gizi normal.  Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner . Penilaian status gizi menggunakan standar WHO child growth standards . Sampel diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling . Analisis data menggunakan Uji Regresi logistik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan (p= 0,0 06 ), dan  perilaku pemberian ASI eksklusif (p=0,0 13 ) dengan status gizi bayi.  Selain itu, karakteristik ibu yaitu umur dan paritas berpengaruh sebesar 4,3 kali dalam status gizi bayi . Dengan diketahuinya hubungan faktor pegetahuan, sikap, perilaku dan karakteristik ibu dengan status gizi bayi, diharapkan mempunyai daya ungkit terhadap peningkatan status gizi bayi.

Stunting is recognised as a critical issue in the developing countries like Indonesia that arises due to nutritional deficiencies. The present research paper is aimed at examining the problem of stunting among the Indonesian children of age group 0 to 5 years. Methods , q ualitative study with interpretivism philosophy and descriptive research design. Data analysing is using meta-analysis method. Results , t he level of nutrition among the children belonging to poor and rural families is lower as compared to the children belonging to urban and rich families in Indonesia. The key reasons behind increasing rate of stunting problem among the children are insufficient nutrition level, low paternal education and less hygienic living conditions. Conclusions , t he major reason for stunting is found to be the low level of proper nutrition provision to the children of 0-5 years within Indonesia. It is proposed that proper nutrition should be provided to the Indonesian children and for this purpose, the rural and low-income families should be provided with proper education, employment and financial support. Stunting harus diakui sebagai masalah kritis pada negara berkembang seperti Indonesia yang muncul akibat kekurangan gizi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meneliti masalah stunting pada anak-anak Indonesia dari kelompok umur 0 hingga 5 tahun. Metode, penelitian kualitatif dengan filosofi interpretivisme dan desain penelitian deskriptif. Analisis data menggunakan metode meta-analisis. Hasil penelitian menemukan, status gizi pada anak-anak dari keluarga miskin dan pedesaan lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan anak-anak dari keluarga perkotaan dan kaya di Indonesia. Alasan utama dibalik meningkatnya masalah stunting di pada anak-anak adalah asupan gizi yang tidak memadai, rendahnya pendidikan orang tua dan lingkungan yang kurang higienis. Kesimpulan, alasan utama banyak stunting ditemukan karena rendahnya tingkat pemberian nutrisi yang tepat untuk anak-anak 0-5 tahun di Indonesia. Saran, nutrisi yang tepat harus diberikan kepada anak-anak Indonesia supaya permasalahan stunting teratasi, selain itu masyarakat di pedesaan dan berpenghasilan rendah harus diberikan pendidikan yang layak, pekerjaan dan dukungan ekonomi yang memadai .

Examining the nutrition levels and stunting problem in Indonesian children

Latar Belakang : Air Susu Ibu (ASI) selain merupakan makanan paling baik untuk
bayi, juga terbukti dapat mencegah penyakit pada bayi dan memberi manfaat bagi
ibu, keluarga, dan masyarakat. Memberikan ASI selama 6 bulan dapat
menyelamatkan 1,3 juta jiwa di seluruh dunia. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi
pemberian ASI adalah status pekerjaan ibu. 
Tujuan : Diketahuinya hubungan status pekerjaan ibu dengan pemberian ASI
eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta
Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini bersifat korelasi dengan metode pendekatan 
waktu yang digunakan yaitu retrospective. Populasi dalam penelitian ini 118 orang
dan sampelnya sebanyak 54 ibu yang memiliki anak usia 6-9 bulan. Teknik
pengambilan sampel menggunakan tehnik sampling kuota. Pengumpulan data
menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data mengunakan analisis chi_square.
Hasil : Uji chi_square_diperoleh p-value = 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil 
Koefisien Kontingensi diperoleh 0,22 < 0,5.
Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status pekerjaan ibu dengan
pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta
Saran :. Bagi ibu terutama ibu yang bekerja disarankan untuk selalu memberikan
ASI eksklusif sehingga mendukung suksesnya pemberian ASI eksklusif.

Hubungan Status Pekerjaan Ibu dengan Pemberian Asi Eksklusif di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sayegan Sleman Yogyakarta

Children who do not get exclusive breastfeeding will be at risk of deficiency of nutrients needed in the growth process. This study aims to analyze the relationship between stunting and exclusive breastfeeding. The research method uses a cross-sectional research design with quantitative research, presented by means of descriptive-analytic with the number of respondents as many as 41 people. Data regarding the child's height was obtained by measuring the child's height using a digital weight scale with an accuracy of 0,1 kg. Data regarding children's age is obtained by birth certificate records or family cards. Mothers’ knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and its giving was obtained using interview techniques. Data analysis using univariate analysis was carried out on each variable resulting from the study in the form of frequency distribution and percentage of each variable. Bivariate analysis to analyze the relationship between variables using Chi-square with 95% CI. The results showed that knowledge (p= 0,633) and education (p= 0,840) had no effect on exclusive breastfeeding (p > 0,05). Meanwhile, exclusive breastfeeding did not affect the incidence of stunting (p= 0,797). In conclusion, education, knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding have no significant correlation with the incidence of stunting in children under five.

This research was aimed to evaluate the quality of long-jawed mackerel fish flour, resulted\nfrom four different treatments, based on specific criteria, namely water content, protein,\nfat and calcium. This was a True Experimental Design Post test-Only Control Design\nresearch with a completely randomized design (CRD). The experimental method consisted\nof four treatments. Data regarding protein content was obtained by using Kjehdal method,\nwater content using oven method, fat content using Soxhlet while calcium content using\nthe Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry method. The research data were processed\nstatistically for ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and continued with the LSD (Least\nSignificance Different) test. ANOVA test analysis results showed that the water content (p\n= 0.02), protein (p = 0.00), fat (p = 0.00), and calcium (p = 0.00) significantly different\nbetween the four treatments. The fish flour produced meets quality standard based on\nIndonesian standard of fish flour registered by number Indonesian National Standard\n(SNI) 2715: 2013 in terms of water content, protein and fat.

Abstrak: Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan berakibat peningkatan angka kesakitan dan kematian serta beban biaya kesehatan termasuk di Indonesia. Penanggulangan masalah hipertensi di Indonesia meliputi upaya promotif, preventif, kuratif dan rehabilitatif. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi hipertensi pada lansia yaitu melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan dan pengukuran status gizi serta meningkatkan pengetahuan pada 48 orang lansia di Desa Dutohe Barat Kecamatan Kabila. Lansia diberikan penyuluhan tentang pola hidup sehat di masa lansia kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan tekanan darah, kolesterol dan pengukuran antropometri. Hasil kegiatan berdampak positif bagi lansia dimana terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 29%, lansia telah melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan sebesar 100% serta diketahuinya lansia yang memiliki status gizi normal sebesar 58%.Abstract: Hypertension is a health problem resulting in an increase in morbidity and mortality as well as the burden of health costs, including in Indonesia. Handling the problem of hypertension in Indonesia includes promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative efforts. One way to treat hypertension in the elderly is to have regular health checks. This community service activity aims to carry out health checks and nutritional status measurements as well as increase knowledge of 48 elderly people in Dutohe Barat Village, Kabila District. Elderly were given counseling about a healthy lifestyle in the elderly then blood pressure, cholesterol and anthropometric measurements were checked. The results of the activity have a positive impact on the elderly where there is an increase in knowledge of 29%, the elderly have carried out health checks by 100% and it is known that the elderly have normal nutritional status by 58%.

Stunting occurs to 170 million children aged under 5 years with prevalence of 40% in South Asia and 50% in Sub-Saharan Africa. Finding of Basic Health Research in Indonesia in 2010 shows that there are 35.6% of stunting babies and it improves to 37.2% in 2013. Then, data of Department of Health in Gorontalo District in 2013 show that number of stunting babies at Puskesmas (Public Health Center) of Tilango remains in the highest level. Objective this research aims to identify and add insight about influence of energy and protein intake, parenting and health status over stunting incident at babies aged 12 to 36 months. This research is conducted in Puskesmas of Tilango area, District of Gorontalo. Research hypothesis is H1: there is influence of energy and protein intake, parenting and health status on stunting incident at babies aged 12 to 36 months, H0: there is no influence of energy and protein intake, parenting and health status on stunting incident at babies aged 12 to 36 months. Methodology: it applies analytical observational study with case control design in which the case group is stunting babies while control group is non-stunting babies. Finding p value of energy intake is 0,010 with value of OR for 1,664, protein intake is 0,000 with value of OR for 2,172, parenting is 0,000 with value of OR for 4,714 and status of health is 0,096. Conclusion: There is influence of energy and protein intake as well as parenting on stunting incident at babies aged 12 to 36 months at Puskesmas of Tilango, Sub-district of Tilango, District of Gorontalo. There is no influence of health status on stunting incident at babies aged 12 to 36 months at Puskesmas of Tilango, Sub-district of Tilango, District of Gorontalo.

ABSTRAK

Stunting terjadi sekitar 170 juta pada anak usia dibawah 5 tahun dengan prevalensi 40% di Asia Selatan dan 50% di sub Sahara Afrika. Hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar di Indonesia tahun 2013 masih terdapat 37.2% balita stunting meningkat dari 35,6% tahun 2010. Puskesmas Tilango terdapat balita stunting tertinggi di Kabupaten Gorontalo. Tujuan penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dan menambah wawasan tentang pengaruh asupan energi dan protein, pola asuh dan status kesehatan terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak umur 12-36 bulan. Kegiatan penelitian ini dilaksanakan di wilayah Puskesmas Tilango Kecamatan Tilango Kabupaten Gorontalo. Hipotesis penelitian ini H1: Ada pengaruh asupan energi dan protein, Pola Asuh, dan status Kesehatan terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak usia 12-36 bulan, H0: Tidak ada pengaruh asupan energi dan protein, Pola Asuh, dan status Kesehatan terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak usia 12-36 bulan. Metodologi yang digunakan yaitu studi observational analitik dengan rancangan case control dimana sebagai kelompok kasus adalah balita stunting dan kelompok kontrol yaitu balita non stunting. Hasil Nilai p Asupan energi 0,010 nilai OR 1,664, Asupan protein 0,000 nilai OR 2,172, Pola asuh 0,000 nilai OR 4,714, dan status kesehatan 0,096. Kesimpulan Ada pengaruh asupan energi, Protein dan pola asuh terhadap kejadian stunting Anak usia 12-36 bulan di Puskesmas Tilango Kecamatan Tilango Kabupaten Gorontalo. Tidak ada pengaruh status kesehatan terhadap kejadian stunting Anak usia 12-36 bulan di Puskesmas Tilango Kecamatan Tilango Kabupaten Gorontalo.

Abstrak : Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) adalah salah satu yang merupakan penyebab kematian di dunia. Data Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) 2018 menyebutkan bahwa Provinsi Gorontalo termasuk dalam 10 besar provinsi dengan prevalensi PTM tertinggi secara nasional. Lansia di Desa Poowo Kecamatan Kabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango sebagian besar menderita penyakit tidak menular (PTM) berdasarkan hasil Posbindu. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi PTM pada lansia yaitu melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin serta mengkonsumsi makanan yang sehat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan kepada 42 orang lansia di Desa Poowo Kecamatan Kabila berupa pemeriksaan kesehatan. Lansia yang mengalami masalah kesehatan diberikan konseling gizi, kemudian dilakukan demonstrasi pembuatan makanan selingan menggunakan bahan pangan local. Hasil kegiatan berdampak positif bagi lansia dimana 100% lansia telah melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan berupa pemeriksaan tekanan darah, gula darah dan kolesterol, peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 61,9% pada lansia dilakukan melalui konseling gizi serta aktif mengikuti kegiatan demonstrasi makanan selingan menggunakan bahan lokal.Abstract: Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Basic Health Research Data (Riskesdas) 2018 states that Gorontalo Province is included in the top 10 Provinces with the highest prevalence of NCDs nationally. The elderly in Poowo Village, Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency mostly suffer from non-communicable diseases (PTM) based on the results of Posbindu. One way to overcome PTM in the elderly is to carry out regular health checks and consume healthy foods. This community service activity aims to carry out health checks for 42 elderly people in Poowo Village, Kabila District in the form of health checks. Elderly who experience health problems are given nutritional counseling, then a demonstration of making snacks using local food is carried out. The results of the activity have a positive impact on the elderly where 100% of the elderly have carried out health checks in the form of checking blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol, increasing knowledge in the elderly after nutrition counseling and being active in snack demonstration activities using local ingredients
