Compositions and methods for use in three dimensional model printing

When there is a breakdown in either one of first and second power converters supplying electrical power to a multi-winding motor comprising a wind-up mechanism, a rescue operation can be safely and reliably carried out by using the remaining power converter. A wind-up mechanism comprises a two-winding motor having first and second windings, and, during normal operation, power is supplied to the first and second windings from first and second inverters respectively. When the first inverter has broken down due to excessive current, first and second contactors are switched off, and a third contactor comprising a short-circuiting unit is switched on. Consequently, both windings receive power from the second inverter, enabling the rescue operation to be carried out without causing vibrations.

A motor driving apparatus capable of drivingly controlling a plurality of inverter units (IV1-IV4) with a single motor driving command S from a motor control unit (1), to thereby control a large-capacity motor or the like. The motor control unit (1) sends out a single motor driving command (torque command) S. An intermediary unit (3) obtains motor driving commands SxA1 to SxA4 for the inverter units (IV1-IV4) by multiplying the motor driving command S by each of coefficients A1 to A4 set in advance. Alternatively, the single motor (2) may be replaced by a plurality of motors, each associated with a respective one of the inverter units (IV1 to IV4). Also, the intermediary unit (3) may generate the individual motor driving commands in the form of parallel or serial data.

The present inventions, in one aspect, are directed to techniques and/or circuitry to applying a current pulse to the terminals of the battery during a charge, measuring a voltage at the terminals of the battery, determining a relationship of an open circuit voltage to an amount of charge in the battery using data which is representative of a state of health of the battery, calculating an open circuit voltage of the battery using the voltage measured at the terminals of the battery, a current applied to or removed from the battery and an impedance of the battery, and determining a state of charge of the battery using (i) the calculated open circuit voltage and (ii) the relationship of the open circuit voltage to the amount of charge.

An elevator control apparatus solves a major problem with a conventional elevator control apparatus in that an elevator cannot be operated in case of a power failure of a commercial power source because the controlling apparatus constantly consumes power supplied from the commercial power source The elevator control apparatus includes: a power storage unit for storing the DC power; a charge/discharge control circuit that controls a state of charge of the power storage unit, outputs a drive signal to charge the power storage unit with the DC power during a halt of the elevator based on operational information regarding the elevator received from the controller, and outputs a stop signal to stop charging when a voltage of the power storage unit reaches a preset predetermined voltage; and a charge/discharge circuit for starting charging the power storage unit with the DC power in response to the drive signal, and stopping the charging in response to the stop signal This arrangement ensures landing of the elevator in case of a power failure, allows a peak in power consumption to be eliminated, and permits energy saving by effectively using power produced in a regenerative mode of the elevator

Elevator control apparatus

This invention provides a controller of an elevator in which a space for mounting a power accumulating device can be saved and the controller can be applied to the elevator having no machine room. Therefore, the controller has power accumulating means arranged between DC buses between a converter and an inverter, and accumulating DC power from the DC buses at a regenerative operation time of the elevator and supplying the DC power accumulated on the DC buses at a power running operation time; and charging-discharging control means for controlling charging and discharging operations of the power accumulating means with respect to the DC buses. The power accumulating means is constructed by a secondary battery and a DC-DC converter for controlling charging and discharging operations of the secondary battery, and the secondary battery is constructed by connecting plural cells in series to each other. The secondary battery is arranged at any one of four corners within an ascending/descending path, a portion near a rail, or a portion near a cable within the ascending/descending path.

SOLUTION: This controller is provided in each landing 1 of the elevator. It is provided with a sensor 2 detecting walking speeds or the like of users, a weak person determining means 41 determining whether or not there is a weak person such as an old person among the users on the basis of a detection result of the sensor, an announcement commanding means 43 raising the announcement sound volume in a car and switching announcement contents when a weak person is detected by the weak person determining means, and a touch panel control means 44 improving visibility and operability of a touch panel operating means 32 in the car when a weak person is detected by the weak person determining means. To reduce a total power amount required to drive an elevator by a commercial power supply during a peak power-consumption time period, for instance, afternoon in summer time, a control apparatus for this elevator is arranged by employing: a converter for rectifying AC electric power to be converted into DC electric power; and inverter for inverting the DC electric power into AC electric power having a variable voltage and a variable frequency; a motor driven by said AC electric power having the variable voltage and the variable frequency so as to operate an elevator; a power storage apparatus for charging thereinto electric power; and a power controller for using both the power storage apparatus and the commercial power supply so as to supply the electric power to the inverter, and for controlling at least any one of the power storage apparatus and the commercial power supply in order to supply electric power which is required for the inverter.
