Random nanostructured metallic films for environmental monitoring and optical sensing: experimental and computational studies.
Ivan Karbovnyk,John Collins,Ivan Bolesta,Andriy Stelmashchuk,Antonina Kolkevych,Shereen Velupillai,Halyna Klym,Orest Fedyshyn,Svitlana Tymoshuk,Ihor Kolych +9 more
TL;DR: Nanostructured silver films are studied using computational and experimental methods for surface plasmon resonance-related phenomena and amplification of light at the film surface due to local electromagnetic field enhancement at the nanoscale is discussed.
Nonlinear optical properties of silver nanoparticles prepared in Ag doped borate glasses
Volodymyr Adamiv,Ivan Bolesta,Ya. V. Burak,Roman V. Gamernyk,Ivan Karbovnyk,Ihor Kolych,M.G. Kovalchuk,Oleksii Kushnir,M.V. Periv,I.M. Teslyuk +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, nonlinear properties of Li 2 B 4 O 7 :Ag borate glasses with the interface region formed by thermal treatment in hydrogen atmosphere and in vacuum are investigated, from the results of plasmon absorption and normalized transmission measurements in Z -scan regime.

The Computational Studies of Plasmon Interaction.
TL;DR: The obtained results show that nanoparticle interaction results in the distinct collective modes, known as the low-energy bonding modes and the higher-energy antibounding modes, within the plasmon hybridization model.
