Papers
Content pollution mitigation for Content-Centric Networking
Igor Ribeiro,António Rocha,Célio Albuquerque,Flavio Guimaraes +3 more
- 01 Nov 2016
TL;DR: Two different deployment approaches to CCNCheck are proposed, which reduce topology dependency, allow users to retrieve the majority of requested contents and reduces the number of polluted messages forwarded in the network core.

A Resilient Dynamic Gateway Selection Algorithm Based on Quality Aware Metrics for Smart Grids
Vitor Hugo Okabayashi,Igor Ribeiro,Diego Passos,Célio Albuquerque +3 more
- 02 Nov 2015
TL;DR: In this article, an algorithm for dynamic selection of gateways in a multihoming smart grid network is presented, which uses a probabilistic approach for choosing gateways, prioritizing those with the most reliable paths.

Modeling NDN PIT to analyze the limits of timeout on the effectiveness of flooding attacks
Flavio Guimaraes,Antonio A. de A. Rocha,Célio Albuquerque,Igor Ribeiro +3 more
- 27 Jun 2016
TL;DR: An analytical model is proposed that helps to understand the conditions that make the architecture more or less susceptible to this threat, and an extension of the model is used to formulate an optimization function which maximizes the system throughput, minimizing the effects of a DoS attack.

SENSORLock: a lightweight key management scheme for wireless sensor networks
TL;DR: This work proposes, analyzes, and demonstrates the feasibility of SENSORLock for secure symmetric key distribution solving the stored key exposure problem, and presents a mechanism tailored to sensor networks called SENSorLock applying it to a specific case.

Robust Advanced Metering Infrastructures and Networks for Smart Grid
Diego Passos,Guilherme Rolim,Igor Ribeiro,Igor M. Moraes,Célio Albuquerque +4 more
- 01 Jan 2019
TL;DR: This chapter provides a comprehensive discussion on fault tolerance and reliability for advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) communication, highlighting the currently dominating architecture, based on wireless communication between meters and data aggregation points (DAPs).
