Self-phase modulation in a thin fused silica plate upon interaction with a converging beam of down-chirped femtosecond radiation
Ya. V. Grudtsyn,I G Zubarev,I G Zubarev,A V Koribut,Igor E. Kuchik,S B Mamaev,L D Mikheev,L D Mikheev,Sergey L. Semjonov,S G Stepanov,Vyacheslav A. Trofimov,V I Yalovoi +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the mechanism of spectral broadening and selfcompression of down-chirped femtosecond pulses in the visible range (473 nm) upon nonlinear interaction of a converging Gaussian beam with a 1-mm-thick fused silica plate.

Possibility of passive THz camera using for a temperature difference observing of objects placed inside the human body
TL;DR: This investigation allows to increase field of the passive THz camera using for the detection of objects concealed in the human body because the difference in temperature between object and parts of human body will be reflected on the human skin.

Temperature resolution enhancing of commercially available THz passive cameras due to computer processing of images
TL;DR: Good quality of the image is achieved due to applying various spatial filters with the aim to demonstrate independence of processed images on math operations, and new possibilities for seeing the clothes details, which raw images, produced by the THz cameras, do not allow to see.

- 05 Dec 2012
TL;DR: Developing the new spatial filter for treatment of the THz image remains a modern problem at present time but the obtained results demonstrate the high efficiency of the approach for the detection of hidden objects and they are a very promising solution for the security problem.

Resolution enhancing of commercially available passive THz cameras due to computer processing
TL;DR: Good quality of the image is achieved due to applying various spatial filters to show independence of processed images on math operations, and this result demonstrates a validity of observable objects.
