Tracking secular changes in the "water" content of lunar interior using basaltic lunar meteorites
Mahesh Anand,Romain Tartèse,Kentaro Terada,Ian A. Franchi,Natalie A. Starkey,Y. Sano +5 more
- 01 Sep 2012
TL;DR: Aatite is the main hydroxyl-bearing (proxy for water) mineral in lunar samples, especially in basaltic rocks, and is also amenable to in-situ U-Pb age dating studies.

Extraction and analysis of microcrater residues using focused ion beam microscopy
John Bridges,Ian A. Franchi,Simon F. Green +2 more
- 01 Mar 2006
TL;DR: In this paper, a new technique using dual beam FIB/SEM with which impact residues can be extracted from microcraters and analyzed by EDS is described, which will allow the determination of residue compositions from Stardust craters.
Stardust microcrater residue compositional groups
John Bridges,Ian A. Franchi,Simon F. Green +2 more
- 01 Mar 2007
TL;DR: In this paper, compositional groups are defined in residue from Stardust craters (1-9 Dc) by qualitative EDS and further studied by a FIB-SEM technique to determine representative residue compositions.
