Application of bioemulsifiers in soil oil bioremediation processes. Future prospects.
TL;DR: This paper reviews literature concerning the application of bioemulsifiers in the bioremediation of soil polluted with hydrocarbons, and summarizes aspects of the current knowledge about their industrial application in bioremediatedation processes.

Bioprecipitation of Calcium Carbonate Crystals by Bacteria Isolated from Saline Environments Grown in Culture Media Amended with Seawater and Real Brine.
Gloria Andrea Silva-Castro,I. Uad,Alejandro Gonzalez-Martinez,Almudena Rivadeneyra,Juan José González-López,M. A. Rivadeneyra +5 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that microbiota isolated from sea water and brine is capable of precipitation of carbonate biominerals, which can occur in situ with mediation of organic matter concentrations, and calcium carbonate precipitation ability of this microbiota could be of importance in bioremediation of CO2 and calcium in certain environments.
Application of selected microbial consortia combined with inorganic and oleophilic fertilizers to recuperate oil-polluted soil using land farming technology
Gloria Andrea Silva-Castro,I. Uad,Juan José González-López,C. G. Fandiño,F.L. Toledo,Concepción Calvo +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the efficiency of two selected microbial consortia (A and B) inoculated in combination with inorganic fertilizer (NPK) or oleophilic fertilizer (S200 commercial) by applying them in land farming treatments.

Response of autochthonous microbiota of diesel polluted soils to land-farming treatments
Gloria Andrea Silva-Castro,I. Uad,Alfonso Rodríguez-Calvo,Jesús González-López,Concepción Calvo +4 more
TL;DR: Non-metric multidimensional scaling analysis proved that moisture content showed a tendency related to microbial growth and that heterotrophic and degrading microorganisms had the best relationship to land-farming treatments.

Efficiency of the EPS emulsifier produced by Ochrobactrum anthropi in different hydrocarbon bioremediation assays
Concepción Calvo,Gloria Andrea Silva-Castro,I. Uad,C. García Fandiño,J. Laguna,Juan José González-López +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the bioemulsifier EPS emulsifier has interesting properties for its application in environment polluted with oil hydrocarbon compounds and may be useful for bioremediation purposes.
