Impact of jets on kilonova photometric and polarimetric emission from binary neutron star mergers
TL;DR: In this article , the photometric and polarimetric behavior of binary neutron stars was analyzed by performing 3-D Monte Carlo radiative transfer simulations, and it was shown that the presence of a jet enhances the degree of polarization at wavelengths ranging from 0.25 to 2.5.

- 23 Apr 2023
TL;DR: In this paper , a binary system composed of a black hole with mass 0.5M and a neutron star with mass 1.4M was simulated and the merger dynamics of this exotic system was investigated.
Black-hole formation in binary neutron star mergers: The impact of spin on the prompt-collapse scenario
