The effects of hot axisymmetric compression to break down the primary carbide network of the H23 tool steels were studied. This current study only focused on one strain rate of 0.01 s -1 . The samples were deformed at 3 different temperatures (1000, 1050 and 1100 o C) with solutioning temperatures 1100 and 1250 o C, respectively. Afterwards, the samples were cooled by water quenching. The techniques used in this current study for investigation were the optical and electron microscopes and Vickers hardness test. The results show that hot axisymmetric compression had broken down the primary carbide network in the direction perpendicular to the compression axis and the carbides became finer. Although the highest hardness (274 HV) was achieved after solutioning at 1250 o C, followed by deformation at 1000 o C, however the microstructure analysis indicated that the optimum hot axisymmetric compression condition was solutioning at 1250 o C and deformation at 1000 o C.

An attempt was made to produce silica from an agricultural waste, i.e. rice husk ash (RHA), for a microwave absorber. The high percentage of silica content from RHA was used as a silica source for sodium silica solutions. Different heating temperatures, times and acid treatments were studied for silica extractions. The composite was characterized and its microwave properties were investigated after sintering from 400 to 1200 °C. The results showed that the existing phases in all compositions at 1200 °C were mullite, cristobalite and Al2O3. The intensities of cristobalite peaks gradually decreased with increased compositions of Al2O3, while the intensities of mullite peaks increased with the increased compositions of Al2O3. Compositions with higher amounts of amorphous silica xerogel showed a lower degree of Al2O3 peaks when compared to other compositions, while the peaks of cristobalite were found to be with greater intensities. Investigation of silica from rice husk ash wastes as an alternative material for microwave absorbers

This study aimed to examine the effect of the whole language approach on learning motivation and productive communication skills of third-grade students of SD Lab Undiksha for the academic year 2022/2023, both individually and together. This research is quasi-experimental. The research design used was the posttest-only control-group design. The population, which is also the sample in this study, are all third-grade students of SD Lab Undiksha, totalling 48 students. The independent variable in this study is the whole language approach. At the same time, the dependent variable in this study is students' learning motivation and productive communication skills. Data collection methods used are questionnaires and tests. The data on students' learning motivation and productive communication skills that have been collected are tabulated with the mean and standard deviation. The statistical analysis used to test the hypothesis is MANOVA. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that: 1) there was a significant effect of the whole language approach on the learning motivation of Class III students of SD Lab Undiksha in the academic year 2022/2023 with an F count of 75,037 and a significance of 0,000; 2) there is a significant effect of the whole language approach on the productive communication skills of Class III students of SD Lab Undiksha for the academic year 2022/2023 with an F count of 84,668 and a significance of 0,000, and 3) there is a significant effect of the whole language approach on learning motivation and productive communication skills of third-grade students of SD Lab Undiksha in the academic year 2022/2023 simultaneously with an F count of 73.211 and a significance of 0.000.

The effect of the whole language approach on learning motivation and productive communication skills of students

In this investigation, manganese has been produced from medium grade manganese ore from Karangnunggal mine (West Java, Indonesia). The effects of weighed amount of banana peels on the structural and leaching properties have been studied. The material’s properties have been characterized on the basis of the experimental data obtained using X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier transforms infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. It has been found that an increase of the weighed amount of banana peels up to 4 g leads to an increase of the leaching efficiency of manganese from manganese ore. Above 4 g, however, the leaching efficiency does not change significantly. The analysis based on the interpretation of both XRD patterns and FTIR spectrum allows one to explain the increase in the leaching efficiencies of manganese by the reduction of MnO2 minerals and by the removal of hemicelluloses groups of banana peel in the samples.

Pendekatan whole language berasumsi bahwa bahasa merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak dapat dipisah-pisahkan, oleh karena itu pembelajaran komponen bahasa (fonem, morfem, klausa, kalimat, wacana) dan keterampilan berbahasa (menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis) harus dapat disajikan secara utuh dalam situasi yang nyata (autentik) dan bermakna kepada peserta didik. Hasil penelitian dapat dilakukan dalam kelas dalam pendekatan whole language ini peserta didik akan melakukan; (1) berkembang melalui tahap-tahap sesuai dengan perkembangan, (2) dilibatkan dalam interaksi sosial sepanjang hari, (3) berbagai tanggungjawab dalam mereka belajar, (4) merasa senang mencoba dan praktik baca tulis tanpa takut kritikan, (5) mengevaluasi kemajuan mereka sebagai bagian alamai dari semua pengalaman belajar.

Terwujudnya Karya Wira Chandra ini melalui proses kreativitas yang dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yaitu tahap penjajagan (exsplorasi), percobaan (improvisasi), dan pembentukan (forming).
