Film-Boiling Heat Transfer
TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model consisting of a system of one-dimensional equations for each of the phases seems to be the most promising one for calculating heat transfer and hydrodynamic losses for film boiling in channels.

- 01 Jan 1960
TL;DR: In this article, the authors summarize all experimental data known to the authors on heat transfer in the transition boiling mode and develop a model to predict transition boiling, which is one of the least investigated domains of heat transfer, due to the complexity of the process and the fact that in most studies the boiling curve is investigated at fixed heat flux.

Heat transfer during film boiling of a subcooled liquid under conditions of forced flow through channels
TL;DR: An experimental study of heat transfer during the film boiling of subcooled liquid nitrogen in pipes with the Reynolds number Re=80,000-1,500,000 andψ=0.20-0.95 is reported as mentioned in this paper.
