Antiplasmodial activity-aided isolation and identification of quercetin-4’-methyl ether in Chromolaena odorata leaf fraction with high activity against chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum
TL;DR: The results showed the dichloromethane gradient fraction was most effective, significantly suppressing infection by 99.46 % at 100 mg/kg body weight and may serve as a useful phytochemical and antiplasmodial activity marker of C. odorata leaves, which exhibit potential for development as medicine against malaria.

Marmesin isolated from Celtis durandii Engl. root bioactive fraction inhibits β-hematin formation and contributes to antiplasmodial activity.
TL;DR: In this article , the anti-plasmodial components of C. durandii root extract were identified through anti-drug activity-guided fractionation, and the isolated compound was characterized and identified as marmesin using mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

TL;DR: Sarma et al. as discussed by the authors used traditional medicinal plant natural products for anti-leishmanial potential and possible mechanism of action and found that compound S and T. cordifolia residual fraction (TC-5) showed the best anti-LEISHMAN activity (IC50: 0.446 and 1.028 mg/ml) against promastigotes at 48h and less cytotoxicity to THP-1 macrophages.
