Infographics, as an instructional tool, enable support in the creation of an easy to read platform for learners. Steps involved to develop an infographic, play an essential role in optimizing visual literacy transfers. This study has presented a qualitative analysis of the proposed design strategy, which focuses on the infographic development process. The results have proposed that Infographics assignment design when included in instructional technology disciplines, helps instructional designers to enhance message delivery during visual transfers that eventually leads to increased learning interests among learners. The study also revealed five vital themes that emerged upon analyzing the collected data from participants involved. The present study has provided research scholars, an insight of the developed state-of-the-art tool, which in future research studies might serve as a basis for the development of an Instructional Infographic model. https://doi.org/10.26803/ijlter.18.1.1 Â

Infographics as a Learning Tool in Higher Education: The Design Process and Perception of an Instructional Designer

The paper defines conceptual principles of future teachers’ professional training in the context of organizing extra-curricular activities for pupils, which contain preliminary statements, methodological approaches (systemic, synergetic, competency-based, activity-oriented, developmental, personality-oriented, cultural, axiological), principles (general didactic and specific) of education. The professional training of future handicraft and technology teachers for organizing extra-curricular activities for pupils is analyzed based on its three stages: organization and motivation, practice and methods, activity and creativity. Given the professional activities of future handicraft and technology teachers, it is essential to distinguish their theoretical, practical and methodological training. The stages of training future handicraft and technology teachers for organizing extra-curricular activities for pupils are reinforced with the content of such training in higher education institutions. The levels of readiness of future handicraft and technology teachers for extracurricular activities can be identified through relevant indicators based on motivational-and-axiological, cognitive, activity-related and creative criteria. Both the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the experiment results shows that the obtained indicators confirm positive dynamics regarding developing readiness in future handicraft and technology teachers to organize extracurricular artistic - and - technical activities for pupils.

Education, work and creation: ways for developing technological education of schoolchildren in Russia

World economy showed an important development after 9/11. With the transition of neoliberal economy programs, employment around the world had increased until 2008 global financial crisis. Because of the devastation effects of the crisis, the increase in the employment level stopped and reached a record level in some countries after 2008. Current appropriate economic policies are not enough because there are some factors which arise jobless growth. For instance, globalization, labor cost, tax burden, substitution between technology and labor, capital -intensive markets and so on create jobless growth, particularly in developing countries. In other words, economic policies are not enough to solve unemployment problem. In addition to these policies, contemporary and qualitative approaches should be used. One of these approaches is meritocracy. In terms of employment phenomenon, meritocracy is a notion that creates efficiency and justice in an economy. One of the examples which creates jobless growth is globalization. Globalization has adverse effects as well as positive effects. One of the examples is a substitution between technology and labor. If there is much automation in a company, less labor is employed. And this hampers to notice talented persons who create more efficiencies than technology can do. In addition, because these talented persons are unemployed due to technology substitution, some structural conflicts can arise. Although the reasons of jobless growth are based on economic reasons, the most efficient solution is to establish a meritocratic system. By using this system, the output will become more qualified than that of now because in that case the people in the system will become more qualified. In this study, the significance of meritocracy in eradication jobless growth will be emphasized and some examples related to developing countries will be given, and from this perspective some proposals will be presented to figure jobless growth problem out by creating a meritocratic system.
