Multi-Response Optimization of WEDM Process Parameters for Machining of Superelastic Nitinol Shape-Memory Alloy Using a Heat-Transfer Search Algorithm.
Rakesh Chaudhari,Jay J. Vora,S.S. Mani Prabu,I. A. Palani,Vivek Patel,D. M. Parikh,L.N. López de Lacalle +6 more
TL;DR: The optimized parameters were found to machine the alloy appropriately with the intact shape memory effect and proved to be highly effective in predicting and optimizing the wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) process parameters.

Enhancement of triboelectric nanogenerator output performance by laser 3D-Surface pattern method for energy harvesting application
Manikandan Muthu,Rajagopalan Pandey,Xiaozhi Wang,Arunkumar Chandrasekhar,I. A. Palani,Vipul Singh +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a line patterned TENG has been developed on the PET substrate using continuous-wave fiber laser of wavelength 1064nm, which has enabled the development of consistent architecture with more efficient surface morphology as compared to conventional surface replication and few lithography processes.

Pareto optimization of WEDM process parameters for machining a NiTi shape memory alloy using a combined approach of RSM and heat transfer search algorithm
TL;DR: In this paper, the shape memory alloys were machined using a wire electric discharge machining process to obtain a shape memory effect similar to that of the starting base material, and a set of optimal non-dominant solutions were presented.

Structure, martensitic transformations and mechanical behaviour of NiTi shape memory alloy produced by wire arc additive manufacturing
Natalia Resnina,I. A. Palani,Sergey Belyaev,S.S. Mani Prabu,P. Liulchak,U. Karaseva,M. Manikandan,S. Jayachandran,V. Bryukhanova,Anshu Sahu,R. Bikbaev +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a gas metal arc welding (GMAW) based wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) process has been employed to deposit 5-layered NiTi alloy on the Titanium substrate using Ni50.9Ti49.1 wire as the feedstock.
