TL;DR: The concept of Russian Vegetation Classification as mentioned in this paper is based on the following principles: 1. The use of the ecological-floristic approach and the hierarchy of the main syntaxonomic categories applied for the Classification of Vegetation of Europe; 2. Development of the Russian archive of geobotanical relevés and syntaxa in accordance with international standards and with the remote access functions.

Relict spruce forest “islands” in the Bolshezemelskaya tundra – Control sites for long-term climatic monitoring
TL;DR: Based on studies of the botanical structure of spruce forest "islands" preserved from the Holocene optimum in the western part of the Bolshezemelskaya tundra, it is concluded that in connection with possible global climate warming in the coming decades, we can expect a spread of forest vegetation to the Tundra as discussed by the authors.
