An experimental study and finite element analysis for finding leakage path in high pressure hose assembly
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors found that the failure of high pressure power steering hoses is caused by sharp corners of the sleeve damaging the outer rubber layer through constant movement, and the leakage phenomenon referred to above was verified by the reappearance of fluorescent material coming from the space between the nipple and inner rubber.

Sensor placement guide for structural joint stiffness model improvement
Hyoung-Eui Kim,Youn-sik Park +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a faster, automatic and more reliable sensor placement method based on an iterative scheme, it is similar to the effective independent method, also to overcome the shortcomings of the previous methods, it proposes a maximum allowable number of degrees of freedom that can be deleted at each iteration.

Dynamics and Control of 6-DOF Shaking Table with Bell Crank Structure
Duek-Jae Jeon,Sung-Ho Park,Youngjin Park,Youn-sik Park,Hyoung-Eui Kim,Jong-Won Park +5 more
- 02 Jun 2005
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the kinematics, dynamics and control of a 6-DOF shaking table with a bell crank structure, which converts the direction of reciprocating movements.
Development of the test system for measuring the impact energy of a hydraulic breaker
Jong-Won Park,Hyoung-Eui Kim +1 more
- 01 Jan 2005
TL;DR: In this article, a test system for measuring the impact energy of a hydraulic breaker was designed and constructed and the test system was consisted with hydraulic cylinders for mounting a breaker, impact absorbing base and frames, pressure and flow sensors, high speed and accurate data acquisition system, diesel engine driven hydraulic power pack and etc.

Life Prediction for High Pressure Hose of Power Steering System by Impulse Pressure Test
Gi-Chun Lee,Hyoung-Eui Kim,Jong-Won Park,Jong-Hwang Lee,Won-Wook Jeong,Young-Han Im,Kwon-Tae Hwang,Young-Shin Lee,Jae-Hoon Kim +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a finite element method to predict the life of the high pressure hose and analyzed the swagging part during the impulse test, which is only controlled with the pressure and oil temperature.
