Submodular maximization with nearly-optimal approximation and adaptivity in nearly-linear time
Alina Ene,Huy Nguyen +1 more
- 06 Jan 2019
TL;DR: In this article, the adaptivity of an algorithm is defined as the number of sequential rounds of queries it makes to the evaluation oracle of the function, where in every round the algorithm is allowed to make polynomially many parallel queries.

Prosodic Entrainment and Tutoring Dialogue Success
Jesse Thomason,Huy Nguyen,Diane J. Litman +2 more
- 09 Jul 2013
TL;DR: This study investigates the relationships between student entrainment to a tutoring dialogue system and learning and proposes a novel method to measure prosodicEntrainment and finds specific features which correlate with user learning.
Potentiation of amphetamine-induced changes in dopamine and 5-HT by a 5-HT6 receptor antagonist
Lee A. Dawson,Huy Nguyen,Ping Li +2 more
TL;DR: Data indicate that the 5-HT(6) receptor is not playing a role in the tonic modulation of NA, DA, 5- HT or glutamate neurotransmission in the striatum, however, when dopaminergic neurotransmission is enhanced the5- HT( 6) receptor appears to have a modulatory influence on not only DA but also 5-hydroxytryptamine systems.
