A novel Al matrix composite reinforced by nano-AlN p network.
TL;DR: A novel Al matrix composite with ultrahigh strength reinforced by a three dimensional network of nano-AlN particles for the first time, which would help to develop a potential candidate for high-performance heat resistance light-metal based materials.

- 11 Oct 2016
TL;DR: In this paper, a thin-core fiber modal interferometer (TCFMI) was used to construct a polyelectrolyte thin film composed of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and poly(allyamine hydrochloride) (PAH) via the layer-by-layer self-assembly technique.
An in-line Mach-Zehnder Interferometer Using Thin-core Fiber for Ammonia Gas Sensing With High Sensitivity.
Xinyue Huang,Xueming Li,Jianchun Yang,Chuanyi Tao,Xiaogang Guo,Hebin Bao,Yanjun Yin,Huifei Chen,Yuhua Zhu +8 more
TL;DR: Experimental results show that the characteristic wavelength shift has an approximately linear relationship in the range 1–20 ppm, which is in accordance with the numerical simulation of the thin-core fiber modal interferometer.
