Transcriptomic dissection of tongue squamous cell carcinoma
Hui Ye,Tianwei Yu,Stéphane Temam,Stéphane Temam,Barry L. Ziober,Jianguang Wang,Joel L. Schwartz,Li Mao,David T.W. Wong,Xiaofeng Zhou,Xiaofeng Zhou +10 more
TL;DR: This study provided a transcriptomic signature for OTSCC that may lead to a diagnosis or screen tool and provide the foundation for further functional validation of these specific candidate genes for O TSCC.
•Journal Article
MicroRNA-222 regulates cell invasion by targeting matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) and manganese superoxide dismutase 2 (SOD2) in tongue squamous cell carcinoma cell lines.
TL;DR: The results indicate that hsa-miR-222 plays an important role in OTSCC invasion, and may serve as a novel therapeutic target for O TSCC patients at risk of metastatic disease.

Global expression based classification of lymph node metastasis and extracapsular spread of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma
Xiaofeng Zhou,Stéphane Temam,Myungshin Oh,Nisa Pungpravat,Bau-Lin Huang,Hui Ye,Li Mao,David T.W. Wong +7 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the pN and the ECS of OTSCCs can be predicted by gene expression analyses of primary tumors.

Proteomic based identification of manganese superoxide dismutase 2 (SOD2) as a metastasis marker for oral squamous cell carcinoma.
Hui Ye,Anxun Wang,Bao Shiang Lee,Tianwei Yu,Shihu Sheng,Tingsheng Peng,Shen Hu,David L. Crowe,Xiaofeng Zhou +8 more
TL;DR: Elevated SOD2 levels is associated with lymph node metastasis in OSCC and may provide predictive values for diagnosis of metastasis, indicated by statistically significantly increases in IHC staining for manganese superoxide dismutase 2.

Genomic assessments of the frequent loss of heterozygosity region on 8p21.3-p22 in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
Hui Ye,Hui Ye,Nisa Pungpravat,Bau Lin Huang,Lorenzo Lo Muzio,Maria A. Mariggiò,Zugen Chen,David T.W. Wong,Xiaofeng Zhou,Xiaofeng Zhou +9 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that MTUS1 is one of the candidate tumor suppressor genes for HNSCC residing at 8p21.3 approximately p22, and the identification of these candidate genes will facilitate the understanding of tumorigenesis of H NSCC.
