Phosphorus mediation of cadmium stress in two mangrove seedlings Avicennia marina and Kandelia obovata differing in cadmium accumulation.
TL;DR: The results showed that most Cd was accumulated in mangrove roots and that P addition induced Cd immobilisation in them, providing a theoretical basis for P mediated detoxification of Cd inMangrove plants.

Exogenous phosphorus enhances cadmium tolerance by affecting cell wall polysaccharides in two mangrove seedlings Avicennia marina (Forsk.) Vierh and Kandelia obovata (S., L.) Yong differing in cadmium accumulation.
TL;DR: In both mangrove seedlings, pectin and hemicellulose 1 increased significantly with increasing P levels, the effects of which were greater in A. marina under Cd stress than in K. obovata.

Rhizodegradation potential and tolerance of Avicennia marina (Forsk.) Vierh in phenanthrene and pyrene contaminated sediments.
TL;DR: Investigation of dissipation of phenanthrene and pyrene in spiked sediments with presence of Avicennia marina indicated that rhizome mediation with A. marina is a useful approach to promote the depletion of PAHs in contaminated mangrove sediments.

Effects of root exudates on the leachability, distribution, and bioavailability of phenanthrene and pyrene from mangrove sediments
TL;DR: It was observed that root exudates significantly promoted the release and enhanced the bioavailability of phenanthrene and pyrene from sediment columns, and a positive correlation between leachate pH values and PAH concentrations of the leachates was found.
