Ningjian Wang,Lin Kuang,Bing Han,Qin Li,Yi Chen,Chunfang Zhu,Yingchao Chen,Fangzhen Xia,Zhen Cang,Chaoxia Zhu,Meng Lu,Ying Meng,Hui Guo,Chi Chen,Dongping Lin,Yingli Lu +15 more
TL;DR: Low FSH was associated with prediabetes and diabetes in postmenopausal women, and the associations might be partially explained by adiposity and insulin resistance.
Association of Insulin Resistance and β-cell Function With Bone Turnover Biomarkers in Dysglycemia Patients.
Hui Guo,Chiyu Wang,Boren Jiang,Shaohong Ge,Jian Cai,Ying Zhou,Rong Ying,Kexi Zha,Ji Zhou,Ningjian Wang,Chunfang Zhu,Chenyu Cao,Liqin Zhang,Tao Gu,Yan Zhao,Yingli Lu,Zengmei An +16 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the association between insulin resistance, β-cell function and bone turnover biomarker levels among participants with abnormal glycometabolism, and found that lower bone turnover (β-CTX, intact N-terminal propeptide of type I collagen (P1NP), and osteocalcin (OC) levels were associated with a combination of higher prevalence of insulin resistance and worse βcell function among dysglycemia patients.
Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal Axis in Aging Men and Women: Increasing Total Testosterone in Aging Men
Fangzhen Xia,Ningjian Wang,Bing Han,Qin Li,Yi Chen,Chunfang Zhu,Yingchao Chen,Xiaoqi Pu,Zhen Cang,Chaoxia Zhu,Meng Lu,Ying Meng,Hui Guo,Chi Chen,Dongping Lin,Junke Zheng,Lin Kuang,Weiping Tu,Bin Li,Lin Hu,Zhoujun Shen,Yingli Lu +21 more
TL;DR: The influence of aging on the HPG axis is sex dependent and the pattern of age-related TT was different in Chinese Han men when compared with previous studies in Western populations.
Investigation of vitamin D status and its correlation with insulin resistance in a Chinese population.
Bing Han,Xiaojin Wang,Ningjian Wang,Qin Li,Yi Chen,Chunfang Zhu,Yingchao Chen,Fangzhen Xia,Xiaoqi Pu,Zhen Cang,Chaoxia Zhu,Meng Lu,Ying Meng,Hui Guo,Chi Chen,Weiping Tu,Bin Li,Ling Hu,Bing-Shun Wang,Yingli Lu +19 more
TL;DR: The majority of the Chinese population was vitamin D deficient and this deficiency was negatively associated with insulin resistance, particularly in the overweight and pre-diabetic populations, which might be more evident in the winter.
