Super-pangenome analyses highlight genomic diversity and structural variation across wild and cultivated tomato species
Ning Li,Qiang He,Juan Wang,Baike Wang,Jiantao Zhao,Shaoyong Huang,Tao Yang,Yaping Tang,Shen Yang,Patiguli Aisimutuola,Ruiqiang Xu,Jia-xiang Hu,Chun Xue Jia,Zhiqiang Li,Fangling Jiang,Jie Gao,Hai Yan Lan,Yongfeng Zhou,Xinyan Zhang,Sanwen Huang,Zhangjun Fei,Huan Wang,Hongbo Li,Qinghui Yu +23 more
TL;DR: In this article , the tomato superpangenome was constructed from nine wild species and two cultivated accessions, representative of Solanum section Lycopersicon, the tomato clade.
microRNA172 targets APETALA2 to regulate flavonoid biosynthesis in apple (Malus domestica).
Tiyu Ding,Sumathi Tomes,Andrew P. Gleave,Hengtao Zhang,Andrew P. Dare,Blue Plunkett,Richard V. Espley,Zhiwei Luo,Ruiping Zhang,Andrew C. Allan,Zhen Zhou,Huan Wang,Mengmeng Wu,Haiqing Dong,Chonghuai Liu,Jihong Liu,Zhenli Yan,Jia-Long Yao +17 more
TL;DR: It is shown that transgenic apple plants over-expressing miR172 show a reduction in red coloration and anthocyanin accumulation in various tissue types, and inhibits flavonoid biosynthesis through suppressing the expression of an AP2 transcription factor that positively regulates MdMYB10.
A spatiotemporal transcriptomic network dynamically modulates stalk development in maize
Liang Le,Wei Guo,Danyao Du,Xiaoyu Zhang,Weixuan Wang,Huan Wang,Hong-mei Qiao,Chunyi Zhang,Li Pu +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors report spatiotemporally resolved transcriptomes using all internodes of the whole stalks from developing maize at the elongation and maturation stages.

OsWRKY115 on qCT7 links to cold tolerance in rice
Hualong Liu,Luomiao Yang,Shanbin Xu,Mingjie Lyu,Jingguo Wang,Huan Wang,Wei Xin,Jun Liu,Detang Zou +8 more
TL;DR: The authors' experiments identified OsWRKY115 as a novel regulatory gene associated with cold response in rice, and the Kong-Yu-131 allele with specific cold-induced expression may be an important molecular variant.

Profiling of the gene expression and alternative splicing landscapes of Eucalyptus grandis.
Chunjie Fan,Mingjie Lyu,Bingshan Zeng,Qiang He,Xiaoping Wang,Meng Zhu Lu,Bobin Liu,Eddi Esteban,Asher Pasha,Nicholas J. Provart,Huan Wang,Jin Zhang +11 more
TL;DR: A comprehensive analysis of the gene expression profile and the alternative splicing landscape of E. grandis using strand-specific RNA-Seq revealed numerous differentially expressed and/or differential AS genes involved in critical biological processes, including primary-to-secondary growth transition of stems, adventitious root formation, aging and responses to phosphorus- or boron-deficiency.
